My Prediction for 2013: Even More Liberal Hypocrisy

There’s not enough paper on the planet to print all the examples of liberal hypocrisy which have occurred over the decades (partially because America already used up all our paper printing out a copy of the beast that is Obamacare), but a few noteworthy examples leading us from 2012 into 2013 are worth special attention.

First off is the liberal response to the Connecticut shooting, which was part of an ongoing effort by the Democrats to do away with the 2nd Amendment, as chronicled in the blog’s previous entry.  Senator Dianne Frankenstein’s Monster—um, I mean Dianne Feinstein (sorry, I always get the two confused)—has been one of the leading advocates of anti-gun legislation because she herself is protected by government security agents who are armed to the teeth.  Needless to say, the same goes for Barack Hussein Obama, as well as ever member of his family, and the school his daughters attend is already protected by men armed with automatic weapons, not even counting Secret Service agents.  The answer they prescribe for enhancing their own security is always more guns in their own hands, while the answer for the rest of us is to have our weapons taken away.

Note that these elite politicians who actually write the laws which effect all of us are the ones surrounded by dozens of armed American government agents at all times, while the “inconsequential nobodies” such as our Libyan ambassador Chris Stevens are barely allotted one or two worthless (and likely corrupt) foreign recruits while serving overseas in known hotspots.  In his last minutes, Stevens could have only wished for the sort of protection Obama’s brain, Valerie Jarrett, enjoys while in the safety of her own secure office on American soil.

Never ones to be outdone in the field of hypocrisy, Hollywood leftists immediately pounced on the anti-gun bandwagon as an excuse for more publicity and to enhance their liberal credentials.  Of course, this completely ignores the obvious fact that most of these actors are famous for portraying violent, gun-toting characters in their own films which glorify the vicious deeds they accuse everyday Americans of perpetrating.  When Samuel L. Jackson sticks a gun in someone’s face and spouts a witty line on screen for the sake of being “cool,” that’s all well and good, and no one is supposed to blame him for acting in the role, or Quentin Tarantino for writing and filming these ideas which could inspire disturbed minds.  Likewise, hip-hop “artists” and gangster rappers supported Hussein Obama overwhelmingly in his elections, but no liberal would ever think to accuse them of inspiring crime by glorifying violence in their music.

We have also witnessed rampant increases in government spending, even as Obama and his allies drive us over the so-called “Fiscal Cliff” and into higher taxes.  Obama’s mantra has long been that the “1%” are “not paying their fair share” and need to tighten their belts and stop taking vacations.  Meanwhile, he has twice jetted off to Hawaii for his own holiday vacation just this last month alone, at a cost of twenty-million dollars to taxpayers and lavishly growing the national debt so that he can golf in Honolulu rather than Washington D.C.

The irony of the Obama family’s luxurious, monarch-style government-funded vacations will likely be lost on the low-information Democrat voters who were fooled into voting for him because of his promises to keep granting them gifts of their own.  True, many Democrat voters are the typical welfare crowd whose lifestyle is a career of leeching off their neighbors without contributing a dime, but other “useful idiots” are not quite so fortunate.  Anyone actually drawing a paycheck—and that includes low-income earners and union workers who truly believe the Democrats champion them—are going to see their paychecks diminish as government continues to take more from them to fund its own waste.

Unfortunately, Obama’s henchmen in the media will continue to blame the Republicans for this, and the sort of minds who bought into Obama’s story that we are still living George Bush’s economy will go right on believing the lies.

Meanwhile, some other noteworthy liberals have displayed their hypocrisy by proving they knew where Obama’s plans were taking us all along.  The limousine liberals who publicly claim they feel it is their duty to pay higher taxes have been doing everything possible behind the scenes to avoid paying “their fair share.”  George Lucas, for instance, cemented his deal to sell the Star Wars franchise to the Disney Corporation in 2012 precisely because he saved hundreds of millions he would have had to pay under the 2013 tax rates.  This was a smart business move on behalf of Lucas, but proves that he and those like him are unwilling to put their own money where their big mouths are.  Lucas would likely claim this timing is coincidental, but so would the countless other liberal millionaires and billionaires who worked out similar deals in the last few months.

Perhaps the biggest such hypocrite of all is liberal environmental champion Al Gore, who built most of his fortune by spreading the fraud of so-called “global warming” (now known as “climate change,” since the Earth has been demonstrably cooling since 1998).  Gore, who cruises the world in his limousines and private jets while he is away from his numerous mansions where he is alleged to keep his air conditioners blasting constantly, recently revealed the sale of Current TV to Al Jazeera.  Al Jazeera, based in Qatar, was funded by its owners’ background in the oil business, which has given Qatar the largest per capita “carbon footprint” of any nation on Earth.  While this might sound ironic, given Gore’s public image as a supposed environmental crusader, it is actually a perfect fit when we look at Gore’s true lifestyle: He has perhaps the largest personal carbon footprint of any human being on the planet.

The truth, inconvenient thought it might be, is that Al Gore is enhancing his own lifestyle at the expense of the environment he claims to protect.  But there is nothing new there; at least he is solidly consistent in his hypocrisy.
