If Sen. McCain is in Syria making friends with al-Qaeda, it must mean the war on terror is officially over. That means they can remove most of the airport security and eliminate the Dept. of Homeland Security.

His POW story is mostly BS? I know the basics of what the story is, I haven’t read any books on it but I saw a couple of docs; what is the truth of it? And what are the sources for it? I’m not questioning that it’s made up, I’m curious to know what the truth of it is.
I want to add, I have always found it hard to reconcile the idea of the hero POW with his actions in recent years. I don’t know a lot about his actions prior to 2007, but since then he doesn’t seem like someone who would act the way he is portrayed in the official story. But then, I’m a suspicious woman when it comes to politicians in general.
Syria as an ally on Iran has been on the US hit list for some time and they will do anything they can to put a US friendly government in control. Then they will have Iran surrounded completely.
I just hope Russia can keep control of the peace talks, Assad for all his faults is the democratically elected leader of Syria and has a constitutional right to lead the government until next year, until the elections. If this was a legitimate opposition to the government then civil war has no place. But its not – its NATO back destabilization like Libya and its criminal. McCain has by meeting with the rebel faction showed that America has no interest in justice no interest in democracy, no interest in peace and only cares about $$ and power as all empires do.
