RE: Brian Dickerson: How the tea party is muddying Michigan’s road debate

NO MORE GAS TAX INCREASES… Apparently Liberals think our Roads are like the Schools and just shoveling more money into the Unions’ coffers will work better than our funneling endless more money into the Teachers Unions. Our Roads, like our Schools, need REAL REFORMS not just more money thrown at them and Patrick Colbeck is the only one demanding we look at how and for what we spend our money on to Fix Michigan Roads. Liberals, Schauer/Others, Government’s, only solution to anything is a TAX INCREASE and MORE MONEY TO UNIONS! It’s time for Government to actually review and FIX AN ACTUAL PROBLEM rather than just throw money at it. Democrats want to put money into Roads Fund which would mean more money on Bike Paths and Road Landscaping also, whereas Republicans and TEAParty members want more money to go to ONLY FIXING BROKEN ROADS (and not even toward more new Roads). FIX IT, DON’T DEMAGOGUE IT! If more money is needed, use the Surplus!
