Burn the Congress Down!

Regarding last week’s Illegal Immigration Funding of DHS  – “Well where’s [Senate Majority Leader] Mitch McConnell? Where are our senator friends?” Gosar asked. “I mean, they took a bail on this one as well.”  

-  As dissappointed I am with my Congressman and Boehner,  I must admit the real villain is the Senate Majority Leader Mitch  McConnell.  In December the Republicans scheduled a “Gunfight at the OK Corral for February”.    They scheduled the renewal of funding for the DHS in February.  The idea was to exercise the “power of the purse”utilizing the new House members and the newly acquired majority in the Senate.   Then the Senate took away the guns and did not show up.  The primary onus is on McConnell’s refusal to make a rule change that would have allowed the House bill with Amendments to reign in Obama’s illegal immigration to be brought to the Senate floor for a vote.  Mitch McConnell deserves to be tarred and feathered and permanently sent home.  It is bone headed incompetence such as this that has driven America’s confidence in Congress to an all time low.   Regarding our Congress, we have a kool aid drinking group of Democrats that will blindly follow an unlawful president anywhere and we have a group of Republicans that “fold like a cheap lawn chair”….A new study shows only 5 % of Americans have confidence in Congress.  -  Conclusion……The health of forests occadionally need to be revived by burning the forest down to clear out the dead wood, improve soil conditions and aid in germination.  It is high time to Burn the Congress Down (metaphorically speaking) and start over!
