Sheriff Wright asks for YOUR help

From Sheriff Chuck Wright’s Office:

Earlier today, sworn officers and civilian employees of the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office took 7 pallets of bottled water in a 26 foot truck to the Lexington County Law Enforcement Center to aid the citizens in that area who have been affected by the flood. That is 16-17,000 pounds or 7000 bottles of water. Sheriff Wright has been in contact with law enforcement officials in the Columbia area later tonight and has just learned that all that bottled water was gone in approx. 2 hours. Sheriff Wright is asking the citizens of Spartanburg County and surrounding counties to donate more bottled water in an effort to aid our fellow South Carolinians. Citizens can bring bottled water to the Sheriff’s Office beginning immediately tonight up until noon tomorrow so that it can be transported to the Columbia area.
