Big Brother Blowback: Obama’s War on Whistleblowers and Russia!

“Obama has waged a vicious War on Whistleblowers,” Craig Murray, the former senior diplomat turned whistleblower writes on his blog, “the details of which are insufficiently known to the public.

“High level security officials, true American patriots like Thomas Drake and John Kiriakou have been handcuffed, dragged through the courts and jailed. William Binney had guns pointed at himself and his wife in their home. Chelsea Manning endures constant persecution and humiliation which meets the bar of cruel and degrading punishment. Edward Snowden pines in exile. These are just the highest profile examples. Hillary Clinton was the driving force behind Obama’s hard line attacks on whistleblowers.”

Under Obama, Murray notes, whistleblowers face “a total of 751 months behind bars — compared to 24 months for all other whistleblowers combined since the American Revolution. The protection of free speech and truth-telling has been wrenched away under Obama.”

Add the meteoric rise of Big Brother into this toxic mix and you have a huge seething pot of totalitarianism.

But make no mistake: It hasn’t been without consequence for the Powers That Shouldn’t Be (PTSB). Fortunately, this stellar level of statism seems to be blowing up in the establishment’s big, ugly face.

The Best Show On Earth, indeed…

Blowback, as you know, is a trademark of the central planner. This time, though, the flaming arrows of chaos are streaming toward the kingdom. And the establishment is fa-reaking out.

In a fit of desperation, elite mouthpieces, lapdogs and Hillaries are wagging their grubby fingers at everyone but themselves for what looks from here to be clear consequences of their actions.

And it’s making for some hilarious social media entertainment.

Add to that the ongoing and extremely entertaining “Fake News” narrative of which, no matter how hard we try, we absolutely cannot get enough of.

Last week, you’ll recall, we wrote a letter to PropOrNot — the Russian propaganda (AKA anyone who is not a NATO mouthpiece) watchdog — begging to be put on their “propaganda” list. After all, we, and many of our friends, have found many great liberty-minded websites we weren’t aware of before on “The List.” And dag nabbit, we deserve the free advertising, too.

We even found some good Russian propaganda nutrition sites on “The List” as well. (Because, you know, there’s nothing Putin wants more than for Americans to mind their blood sugar levels and protein intake.)

If there’s any lingering question, by the way, that these PropOrNot goons might have even an inch of credibility (which I have no clue why there would be at this point), here’s something to chew on: Last week, the team of crack geniuses tweeted out a link which they purported proved their “Russian propaganda” narrative…

Problem is, the link, it turns out, led to a website which was… wait for it… on “The List” of Russian propaganda sites.

In other news where hilarity ensues, while the CIA claims to have proof that Russia hacked the election, their overseers, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), according to Reuters, “has not endorsed their assessment because of a lack of conclusive evidence…”

“I know who leaked them,” Craig Murray told the Guardian. “I’ve met the person who leaked them, and they are certainly not Russian and it’s an insider. It’s a leak, not a hack; the two are different things.”

Murray, who is a close friend of Julian Assange, wrote the following on his website: “As Julian Assange has made crystal clear, the leaks did not come from the Russians. As I have explained countless times, they are not hacks, they are insider leaks — there is a major difference between the two.

“And it should be said again and again, that if Hillary Clinton had not connived with the DNC to fix the primary schedule to disadvantage Bernie, if she had not received advance notice of live debate questions to use against Bernie, if she had not accepted massive donations to the Clinton foundation and family members in return for foreign policy influence, if she had not failed to distance herself from some very weird and troubling people, then none of this would have happened.”

Also, yesterday, Murray wrote the following about the surveillance state and its ongoing blowback:

“If you set up the super surveillance state, hoovering up all the internet traffic of pretty well everybody, that is not just going to affect the ordinary people whom the elite despise. There is also going to be an awful lot of traffic intercepted from sleazy members of the elite connected to even the most senior politicians, revealing all their corruption and idiosyncrasies. From people like John Podesta, to take an entirely random example.

“And once the super surveillance state has intercepted and stored all that highly incriminating material, you never know if some decent human being, some genuine patriot, from within the security services is going to feel compelled to turn whistleblower. Then they might turn for help to, to take another entirely random example, Julian Assange.”

OK. With all of that said, though, let’s do a wild thought experiment.

For fun, let’s just assume that Russia, indeed, is responsible for “hacking” the U.S. elections. Let’s say it’s all true. Hillary’s right. Putin’s responsible.

Even if this were so, what was of actual consequence to the American people?

Russian “Hackers” Provided Vital Information To American Voters

Let’s assume, for the sake of argument, that it’s all true: the Russian government really did “hack the election,” which is to say they coordinated the “hack” of the Democratic National Committee email server, as well as John Podesta’s personal gmail account.

These would certainly be low-grade “hacks,” requiring not-very sophisticated means to carry out, but still — stipulate for a moment (notwithstanding the total lack of conclusive evidence) that Russia was indeed responsible for these acts, which the entire Democratic Party is currently hyperventilating about.

What were the fruits of the offending “hacking” op? Let’s review:

• It resulted in the mass resignation of the entire leadership of the Democratic National Committee, on the eve of the Democratic National Convention— leading to raucous protests and internal dissent at the convention on a scale unseen since at least 1968.

• It revealed that Donna Brazile, a DNC vice chair, was feeding debate and forum questions to her favored campaign, thereby providing Hillary Clinton with an undue strategic advantage over Bernie Sanders. CNN colleagues such as Jake Tapper subsequently condemned Brazile, and she was forced out of her position as an on-air contributor.

• It revealed that the DNC and the Hillary campaign had merged operations long before the conclusion of the primary campaign, which directly contradicted assurances from DNC officials that they were to remain completely neutral in the primary race. That was a lie; they devoted material resources to their preferred candidate while the race was underway.

• It revealed that the DNC-Clinton campaign collusion began as early as April 2015, before Bernie Sanders even entered the race.

• It allowed for the public to view speech transcripts that Hillary had concealed, despite declaring in February 2016 that she would “look into” releasing them. If not for the “hack,” voters would have never seen her closed-door remarks about crucial subjects such as the TPP, the proposed Syria “no-fly zone,” and Saudi Arabia, and in time for the election.

• It revealed the correspondence of decadent oligarchs like Haim Saban, who communicated to the Clinton campaign his wish that an object be stuck up Bernie Sanders’ rectum (presumably he was being figurative, but who knows with these guys?).

• It revealed that various ostensible “concessions” made to Bernie Sanders over the course of the platform-drafting process were completely hollow, and intended solely to placate disaffected Sanders voters.

• It revealed the true operations of the Clinton Foundation, which functioned as a political patronage machine for Bill and Hillary’s lackeys, and which was used as proxy to enrich the power couple, despite their longtime insistence that they never profited personally from its endeavors. That was a complete lie.

• It showed that the Clintons lied about the nature of their underlings’ employment at the State Department; high-ranking aides such as Cheryl Mills improperly preformed work for the Clinton Foundation while simultaneously employed at State.

• It revealed that the highest-ranking officials at the DNC mused about spreading anti-Semitic innuendo to electorally damage Bernie Sanders in various Southern state primaries.

I could go on.

This is the terrible misfortune that the American people were subject to as a result of the supposed Russian “hack”  — greater information about how powerful political officials operate in the dark.

When the United States “interferes” in the electoral processes of other countries, it tends to depose their leaders by violent force.

When Russia “interferes” – which, once again, is nowhere near proven — at least in this case they apparently provide previously-concealed information to voters, information which is very clearly in the public interest.

The horror. The horror.
