Given the required blame game when the Left loses an election it only seemed appropriate.
Per the website, the “LGBTQ Nation” is an online news magazine, reporting on issues relevant to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer community. Recently the magazine promoted a Person of the Year contest. The winner for 2016 was none other than gay patriot, Milo Yiannopoulos. Yiannopoulos was elected by a reader driven poll, a true popular vote scenario. http://www.lgbtqnation.com/2017/01/milo-yiannopoulos-named-lgbtq-nations-2016-person-year-readers/
Yiannopoulos won 70% of the vote, with Vice President-Elect Michael Pence coming in a distant second.
The award is to draw attention to the year’s top newsmaker and Yiannopoulos is certainly that person.
Yiannopoulos is an outspoken, openly gay media personality who is also (GASP!) a conservative.
Yiannopoulos has attacked regularly by those on the Left. After all, tolerance is the mantra of the Left.
Yiannopoulos dares to question the “progressive” message of the Left, and for this he is labeled an “alt-right” agitator by multiple sources. Alt-right is the newest term for racism, the only language the Left knows.
Ironically being “alt-right” includes being homophobic. Insert rolling eye emojii here . . . https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alt-right
Mind numbing hypocrisy aside, we would like to congratulate Milo for being the voice of conservatives in the LGBTQ community. This voice is aggressively suppressed by the same population on the Left. Milo challenges the idea that an individual must comply with a particular political ideology to be accepted and loved, ironic on so many levels.
To speak up in a room full of people who feel the same as you, AKA Meryl Streep, is not an act of courage. It is courageous to be yourself live and OUT LOUD in a WORLD full of people who will oppose you. For political and personal bravery we congratulate Mr. Yiannopoulos for being the LGBTQ Person of the year 2016 and beyond.
