NAACP President caught selling drugs and his soul

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

Timothy Miles, President of a local Indiana chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) and a bus transit system director, was arrested this past week for drug dealing.

Inner city poverty and crime is rampant. Families of all races and colors are being decimated. Racial tensions are at record highs and the country is more divided than ever. Mr. Miles held not one, but two positions of influence and esteem, yet he chose to espouse a secret life as the worst of the worst stereotypes for his community.

“I’m begging you, please don’t arrest me, my career and life is over … I gave her the cocaine. I did not take any money. I am a user, not a dealer.”

Miles sold drugs to the informant three different times. Once was in a park near children and another time he asked for sex instead of cash. Miles indicated he needed the money to pay his child support. It is unclear how the sex helped pay his child support. Maybe he is just a drug dealer after all.

Behavior from a man in a position of leadership is shocking in the least. However, few news outlets made much of the story. A week old torture case with black on white crime in Chicago is old news. Yet the same media subjected the public to days of “news” about Meryl Streep’s award speech bashing Trump.

Per the website, the vision of the NAACP is to ensure a society in which all individuals have equal rights without discrimination based on race. The NAACP has done its job well. Authorities have asserted that Miles’ position as president will not result in special treatment under the law.

It is unclear why the media is uncomfortable covering this story. Many people would like to see the media covering all stories equally, without bias. Is the liberal media afraid of covering the story of a good guy gone bad? You can bet, if this was a white civil leader caught in the same scenario, headlines everywhere would have proclaimed the news.

It is time for the media to reclaim journalistic integrity. At this rate, don’t hold your breath.
