In a police state, being in your back yard is being in the wrong place at the wrong time

Some LEOs (legally entitled to oppress) must be the most timid class of people in existence. And anytime they feel a modicum of fear, they respond with a barrage of bullets.

Stephan Clark, 22, was in his grandparents’ yard Sunday when police officers responding to a 911 call about a man breaking into vehicles with a “tool bar” shot him down in a hail of 20 bullets.

According to a press release from the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department, officers in a helicopter saw Clark break a window in a nearby residence and then run to his grandparents’ yard. When Clark ignored police commands to stop, LEOS pursued Clark around the house where he “turned and advanced towards the officers while holding an object which was extended in front of him.”

Police said officers believed the object was a gun and fired, “fearing for their safety,” according to the Sacramento Bee.

But Clark was not holding a gun. He was unarmed and holding a cell phone.

“He was at the wrong place at the wrong time in his own backyard?” Sequita Thompson, Clark’s grandmother, said Tuesday. “C’mon now, they didn’t have to do that.”

Demonstrating the failure of the welfare states, Clark was apparently no stranger to the criminal just(us) system. He had been out of jail for about a month, according to his brother.

A SacBee reporter did a search of court documents and found that a Stephan Alonzo Clark had two felony counts of domestic abuse and a 2013 charge of possession of a firearm and possession of a controlled substance. He also had robbery charge from 2008 – which would have made him 12 years old at the time of the crime.

But when police are judge, jury and executioner, we live in a police state.
