The Texas Legislature will convene on January 8, 2019 and end on May 27, 2019.
The first order of business will be election of the Speaker of the House of
Representatives. The importance of electing an honest and fair statesman to lead
the Texas House cannot be overstated.

Texans for Fiscal Responsibility (TFR), is a conservative political advocacy group
operating as a project sponsored by Empower Texans. TFR concentrates on
promoting limited government via reduced taxation and greater public
