Boston Bomber Tied To CIA Backed Terrorists In Russia

As details about the latest intelligence from the Russian’s emerge it is now clear that Tamerlan was in direct contact with a man known as Russia’s Bin Laden, whose operations are still being funded by the United States despite being officially being designated by the UN as an Al Qaeda associated organization .

New intelligence reports now being discussed by the corporate media reports show the FBI lied about what they new about the Boston Bombings Suspect Tamerlan Tsarneav’s ties to Islamic extremists, particulary he visited Chechnya and comingled with an underground group US backed terrorists during a wave of attacks against Russia last summer.

An investigation into the extremists Russian intelligence reported Tamerlan visited shows the group has a long history of being funded and backed by the United States which is a clear indication of why the FBI tried to hide the ties with the group to the Boston Bombings.

The FBI initially reported they had only received intelligence from Russia in 2011 after which Tamerlan was cleared of any suspicions of terrorism.

CNN, NBC and other media outlets are now confirming the FBI was contacted again by the Russians just 6 months ago about a second trip Tamerlan made last summer and tipped them off to the fact Tamerlan was meeting with an organization led by a man known by Russia’s Bin Laden.

This inconvenient fact is egg directly on the face of the Central Intelligence Agency who groomed and funded the man to conduct clandestine operations against Russia during the cold war.

“According to an intelligence source, Russia remained convinced that Tamerlan, an ethnic Chechen, was in ‘direct contact’ with Islamist militants, most likely based in the strife-torn southern Russian region of Dagestan, where he lived for two years with his family prior to moving to the US,” the Daily Mail reported. “One theory is that Tamerlan and Dzhokhar, who was in thrall to his older brother, may have been ‘inspired’ by a rebel leader known as Russia’s Bin Laden.”

As we noted, citing research conducted by Eric Draitser and others, the Daily Mail omitted a few pertinent details – namely that Doku Umarov, like his supposed mentor Osama bin Laden, works in the interest of U.S. intelligence and the State Department.

Umarov’s Kavkaz Center was funded by the State Department and several supporting fronts including the National Endowment for Democracy-funded Russian-Chechen Friendship Society. In short, it functions as a color revolution front group, color revolution being a specialty of NED under the auspices of the CIA. (“A lot of what we do today was done covertly 25 years ago by the CIA,” Allen Weinstein, who helped draft legislation establishing NED, proudly stated in 1991.)

4/22/13 – Monday afternoon, CNN delved into the possible links between slain Boston Marathon bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev and jihadist groups in the Dagestan region of Chechnya in Russia. By tracking the source of a video that the older suspect posted on his increasingly militaristic YouTube account, CNN’s Nick Paton Walsh reported on the possible connection from southern Russia. Walsh showed part of the video of a militant who goes by the name Abu Dujan that Tsarnaev had apparently posted on his YouTube channel. Dujan was later killed by Russian special forces during a gun fight that occurred last December in the same region that the Boston suspect visited in the early part of last year. As Walsh put it, “this could be the clearest link yet between one of the alleged Boston bombers and the violence that’s been gripping southern Russia.” Meanwhile, the younger Tsarnaev has apparently been communicating with law enforcement officers, despites his “serious medical condition.” CNN’s Tom Fuentes explained to Wolf Blitzer that because Dzohkhar Tsarnaev is intubated and cannot speak, officials are likely relying on yes or no questions with the suspect nodding or shaking his head to respond. At this point, Fuentes said, the FBI’s main goal is to find out the answer to the question, “are there any other terrorists that may carry out an additional attack that we’re not aware of, or is this it?”

More notable, is Tamerlan’s trip to Russia concurred with a series of shootings and Bombings conducted against Russian targets by Russia’s Bin Laden and his network of Al Qaeda affiliated operatives.

The shootings and bombings in Ingushetia and Dagestan this week rekindled a long-standing, brutal campaign of violence and terrorism in Russia’s Caucasus region – one that has seen more than its share of terror stretching back to the Chechen “rebellion” of the 1990s.  However, in examining the recent attacks, it becomes clear that there are political and geopolitical interests behind the scenes that are actively working to destabilize Russia, with violence as their most potent weapon.  The attacks are not simply isolated terrorist actions, but rather, cynically orchestrated events carried out by well-connected criminal networks whose goal is to foment conflict and carry out the agenda of the US intelligence establishment in its subversion of Russia.

Terrorists, Propagandists and Handlers

The complex network of terrorist organizations that operate under the banners of “separatism” and “independence” for the Caucasus region, has been at the center of the destabilization of Russia for the last two decades.  Within hours of the deadly attacks, the Kavkaz Center – an organization known to be the propaganda mouthpiece of terrorist leader Doku Umarov – released an article characterizing the attacks as heroic acts and referring to the dead as “Russian puppets.”  Though this would seem to be not in keeping with the Center’s stated mission “to provide reporting of events…and assistance of journalistic work in the Caucasus,” this is, in fact, very much par for the course for an organization that is funded by the US State Department and Finland’s Foreign Ministry.

Kavkaz Center has a long track record of supporting and legitimizing terrorist actions throughout the region, rationalizing atrocities committed in the name of “resistance.”  In fact, Kavkaz engages in perpetual upside-down logic, referring to Russians as “terrorists” and terrorists as “heroes.”  This type of Goebbles-esque propaganda is the hallmark of Western imperialist projects; most recently in the conflict in Syria, in which the Syrian National Council, Western corporate media and the like refer to terrorism and subversion as “rebellion and freedom-fighting”.  Additionally, it is essential to note that Emarat Kavkaz (Umarov’s terrorist organization translated as “Caucasus Emirate”) has been listed by the United Nations as an organization associated with Al-Qaida. Kavkaz Center has been described by Umarov himself as “the official information organ of the Emarat Kavkaz.”  This, of course, supports the claims made repeatedly by Moscow of the connection between Chechen and other extremists in the region and Al Qaida, a claim which, until recently, Kavkaz Center continued to deny.

Despite the fact that organs such as Kavkaz Center operate in the service of terrorists who advocate the destruction of Russia, their activity alone is not altogether significant if seen in a vacuum.  Rather, it is the association of these types of individuals and organizations with the US State Department and US intelligence that makes them particularly insidious.  One such entity that bears scrutiny is the American Committee for Peace in the Caucasus (ACPC), previously known as the American Committee for Peace in Chechnya.  As reported by Right Web at the Institute for Policy Studies, “The ACPC was founded in 1999 by Freedom House, a neoconservative organization that has worked closely with the U.S. government, receiving funds from the National Endowment for Democracy and other U.S. democratization initiatives.”  This intimate relationship between the ACPC and the US State Department indicates not merely a confluence of interests, but rather a direct relationship wherein the former is an organ of the latter.

Militant Salafism in Dagestan: Imported by the CIA

Radical Salafism, a derivation of an older Wahhabism, is a Saudi product. It is not native to Dagestan, as F. William Engdahl notes. “The existence of the so-called jihadist Salafi brand of Islam in Dagestan is quite recent. It has also been deliberately imported,” he writes.

Wahhabism has mutated since it was promoted by the British early in the last century to maintain control over oil-rich Saudi Arabia. “Little known is the fact that the present form of aggressive Saudi Wahhabism, in reality a kind of fusion between imported jihadi Salafists from Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood and the fundamentalist Saudi Wahhabites,” Engdahl explains.

Leading Salafist members of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood were introduced into the Saudi Kingdom in the 1950’s by the CIA in a complex series of events, when Nasser cracked down on the Muslim Brotherhood following an assassination attempt. By the 1960’s an influx of Egyptian members of the Muslim Brotherhood in Saudi Arabia fleeing Nasserite repression, had filled many of the leading teaching posts in Saudi religious schools. One student there was a young well-to-do Saudi, Osama bin Laden.

The CIA is using the Salafist Muslim Brotherhood to change the geopolitical landscape in the Middle East under the banner of a so-called “Arab Spring,” that is to say a color revolution designed to consolidate the grip of the globalists in the region and, as former National Security Advisor and Rockefeller operative Zbigniew Brzezinski said, “to prevent collusion and maintain security dependence among the vassals, to keep tributaries pliant and protected, and to keep the barbarians from coming together.”

Order out of chaos, from Libya to Syria, is a speciality of the CIA’s Salafist network, a product exported from the bloody battlefields of Afghanistan in the 1980s and micromanaged by the CIA, Pakistan’s ISI, with plenty of money from Saudi Arabia.

In addition to balkanizing and fomenting religious and sectarian violence in the Middle East, Engdahl describes a similar or concurrent project under way to destabilize the Russian Federation. “The deliberate detonation now of a new round of Salafist fundamentalist Jihad terror inside Muslim regions of the Russian Caucasus is exquisitely timed politically to put maximum pressure at home on the government of Russia’s Vladimir Putin,” he writes.

Despite hedging by the FBI and a cautious story by key Mockingbird media asset Time saying Tamerlan Tsarnaev may or may not have been in contact with militant Salafists in Dagestan, the corporate media is running with the one dimensional radicalization plot line.
