Anti-Vaxxer Mother Captured By Police In Florida
Megan Everett and her daughter Lilly fled the home of her mother on May 13th, 2014, reportedly to avoid allowing Lilly’s father to vaccinate Lilly.
She left only a note: “Dear C, If I let them take her and vaccinate her and brainwash her, I wouldn’t be doing what’s right. I cannot let a judge tell me how my daughter should be raised. We will miss you, but I had to leave. I know she will be safer and happier with my family and I. Love, Meg and Lilly.”
The couple were together only a handful of months before she became pregnant with Lilly. But Everett desired ending the relationship with Bauman with immediacy. Bauman was allowed to see Lilly at least once a week under terms he’d reached with Everett’s mother.

Bauman began seeking full custody after seeing photos of Lilly, allegedly around a confederate flag and ammunition. Everett’s mother eventually sided with Bauman to help his cause, citing on CNN’s The Hunt episode, “It was going to be her way or no way. The baby was going to go to no school. It was not going to socialize. It was not going get its vaccinations and it was not going learn about anything but the Confederacy … something had to be done about that.”
The court never granted him full custody, however he was given 50/50. Megan and Lilly would be gone shortly thereafter. Some feel strongly she ran to avoid imminent vaccinations. She was arrested in Gainesville, Florida, along with her daughter.
