why do you need guns for protection if There are no people going on a shooting rampage?
The problem with these events is that Gun owners are in a corner when it comes to these events because if you state that these gun related events happens, it means ommiting that people can be irresponsible with guns and that certain regulation is valid to stop acting stupid with guns.
So the only reasoning that can be made is to state that it was a setup or a false flag.

also the car analogy doesn’t work. Atleast you need a driverslicence and and exam to use it. A car is designed to be driven. if it is in a incident. It is called an ‘accident’ because it isn’t the purpose to kill with it.
With guns, you don’t need training, don’t need a licence and the purpose is to kill or injure a person
Some have guns for protection, security, deterrent and peace of mind. There are many bad people around. ALSO the most important , is to protect us from an oppressed government. BUT we have surpassed that. The government has way passed the oppression state and have already taken over covertly. Through fascism. So what good did our guns do. The people let it happen, with or without their guns.
Guns are also for hunting. But that is a dying sport these days. With urban overpopulation, rural area depopulating. ADM, Cargill, and Nestle will made sure we eat their crap and not be able to game our own food, or grow your own garden.
If you never use your gun, how can it provide protection, security and deterrent if it is locked away. How can guns stop a government when you already admit that no guns are needed to be taken over by Fascists?

You can grow your own veggies in your garden, Buy some chickens, and you don’t have to hunt.

The government of Switserland does allow citizens to own guns because they barely have an army. Theyhave a militia. They have a high gun ownership. They still have less mass shootings than the USA and tighter gun regulation.
