Divorcing? There's an App For That.

Going through a divorce is
tricky. There are many complications, from child custody to financial issues.

Here’s the good news. There are apps out there to help
with the process.

For example, did you know that you could use an app to
help you figure out how much a California divorce was going to cost you? There’s
actually a calculator that helps you figure out a
ballpark range for monthly spousal support and child support, reports The Los Angeles Times.

Or, for those of you in Texas, you can have a look at
the Child
Support Calculator, which is not limited to just one state. Sorry, Apple
users. This one is limited to Android.

Most of iTunes’ divorce apps appear to be state
specific, coming from local law firms. One New Jersey based app even has a place
where you can make notes about your abusive relationship.

For those less contentious divorces, we have the 2Houses app, which helps divorced parents communicate
about their child’s schedules and arrangements.

And then, check out the Divorce Log. This baby
helps you keep track of all the things that happen post-divorce, such as child
visitation hours, child support, alimony, expenses and correspondence.

Going back to pre-divorce, the iSplit app
helps divorcing couples split up there assets through a visual computing
approach. Essentially, the high ticket items are assigned icons to help the
couple figure out how they plan to split their assets in a user-friendly way.

Finally, let’s cap this discussion off with a divorce
app that gives users that warm fuzzy feeling. Here’s the Parenting Apart
app that, according to its producers, will “make your children feel proud
about how you handled the divorce.”

This app gives advice on divorce and how to handle the
psychological issues related to a divorce.

Just as the Parenting Apart app is no substitute for a
child psychologist, no divorce app is a valid substitute for a Houston divorce
