On Wednesday, President Barack Obama met with former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg to talk about gun violence. Specifically, the pair talked about what can be done to end the threat that America’s loose standards for access to them poses to public safety.
“The two discussed ways to keep guns out of the hands of those who should not have access to them, and what more could be done at the state and local level to help address gun violence in America,” the White House said of their meeting.

The president’s meeting, held with perhaps the most influential gun control advocate in the nation, was a good opportunity to discuss lobbying strategy in light of the rash of mass shootings in 2015 that have sparked a renewed push for ambitious gun control legislation among reformers.
It also serves as a reminder of the unique political path toward any realistic change on gun policy, when Congress has proven almost pathologically incapable of passing even modest gun reform after years of debate on the matter.
Bloomberg’s clout: In 2014, Bloomberg pledged to spend $50 million on efforts to sway battles over gun policy on the state level, backing organizations committed to policies like expanding background checks. So far, the effort hasn’t beenhugely successful in achieving results, but he is of course fighting an uphill battle. The National Rifle Association boasts millions of members, spends tens of millions of dollars every election cycle and deftly channels the preferences of huge swaths of the population who are fiercely protective of America’s gun culture and rights.

and norway has 33.1 guns per 100 and the US 112.6… so you would expect more shooting in norway if that is the case
and having an effective police force is bad if crime needs to be dealt with?

The second along with the rest of our rights are not open for modification by any corporation masquerading as a gov including the traitors in DC.
These rights are unalienable rights and can not be given up or taken away. Period!

The concept of militia is clearly different than people.
By his words, Lincoln decreed this land a government of the people, by the people and for the people. He thus knew the difference between people and militia.
So the second amendment reference to people necessarily refers to individuals not necessarily part of a militia.
There are two separate groups, the militia and individuals, neither of whose rights shall be infringed.
And keep in mind what the Philistines did to the Israelites in the days of Saul and Jonathan — only those two had their swords, all other arms were confiscated. ( I Samuel.)
Thus, those implementing such confiscatory measures make the people their subjects and not citizens. The dispossesed become conquered peoples. But this would treasonously trample the principle that this is a government of the people.
So all arguments for gun control are invalid based on a reading of the Constitution regardless of how many judges may have been duped or that have duped others.
If the proponents of gun control had the ability, they would have amended the Constitution to clearly define the right to bear arms as exclusively to militia. But they did not do that, so in scam-like manner, they hope to reinterpret the Constitution.
And they can NEVER take away the weapon of prayer as long as those following Jesus are on earth. Their efforts are thus futile.

One of the statistics in the article above states, that in the US 10,728 killed by handguns. Does anyone know what that statistic leaves out??? 100 million gun owning Americans KILLED NO ONE!
