A Louisiana police captain has sent out a blunt message for members of a local street gang.  ‘You will be hunted. You will be tracked. And if you raise your weapon to a man like me, we’ll return fire with superior power,’ said Captain Clay Higgins in a video message, as he stood flanked by officers from more than a dozen Louisiana law enforcement agencies.  Higgins said a gang known as the Gremlins had been terrorizing the local community around St. Landry Parish, where the captain is based.

Captain Higgins is no longer employed by the St.Landry parish sheriffs office. He voluntarily resigned after the sheriff ordered him to tone down his public service messages, and his reply was that he could not in good conscious do this,as he could not effectively get his message across under the constraints that were placed upon him. The sheriff acted on the situation after the ACLU and other entities complained that Captain Higgins aggressive approach to the crime problem was racist and threatening. This incident is a prime example of political correctness carried to the extreme. The only ones who should feel threatened are the criminals who prey on honest law-abiding citizens. I believe that a firm approach to the rampant crime problem is totally necessary and justified. This man never once made race, creed, or color an issue. He was just a decent law enforcement officer with a genuine concern for victims of crime, without regard to skin color. It’s not his fault that certain elements of society were offended by his approach, as the facts speak for themselves, and they are the ones who pointed the finger at themselves and singled themselves out.
If America should be fed up with anything, it should be the double standard employed by those who use the issue of race for the express purpose of causing division and strife. For example, a coupe of months ago in a neighboring parish, two black city marshalls opened fire on a vehicle driven by a white male with his six year old son in a car seat on the front passenger side. The shooting resulted in the driver being critically wounded, and the death of his son, who was struck five times by the officers bullets. The officers stated that the driver had run from them when an attempt was made to stop him, and also that he had attempted to strike them with his vehicle when he was blocked in by the officers. An investigation revealed that not only was the driver unarmed, but had immediately stopped and had his empty hands raised when the officers fired upon the vehicle. Both officers had a very problematic history, but no disciplinary action was ever taken against them. The reason for this may possibly be due to the fact that the father of one of the officers is an assistant district attorney in the same parish. He was also allowed to post bond for his son after both officers were arrested on charges of murder and attempted murder. To add insult to injury, a relative of one of the officers was put on television and she blamed the father for his sons death, stating that a driver should immediately stop when being pulled over by a police officer. That’s a blatant double standard. Its very odd that not much of the incident was reported in the media, and in fact, it really seems as though the incident is being covered up. I didn’t see one report of it in the national news media. Where was the “righteous indignation”?, the civil rights screaming preachers?, the rioting, burning and looting? Don’t white lives matter? That question has already been answered by the two black gentlemen who feel that white people should kill themselves to atone for ” white privilege “. There is indeed a serious race problem in this country, but its damned sure not the one presented to us. Im really sick and tired to the point of nausea when I hear anything pertaining to poor race relations in this country. ” White People” have been demonized and bullied to the point where they are afraid to speak out on the issue because they will certainly be labeled as racists, if only for stating the self-evident truth. Never will people of any race be able to address the root cause of “racism” because no one is willing to take a good, long honest look at the issue, place blame where it belongs, and admit hard truths. You can call me anything you like, whatever makes you feel better, but I have a clear conscience because I treat all people with respect, and strive to be fair and honest in my dealings with people, regardless of race or social standing. I just believe in true equality and justice. Where, when it concerns the white race, is the tolerance that everyone else demands? Oh, by the way, I’m neither white nor black, therefore I have no hidden agenda or self-serving motives for writing this.Honesty and truth are what matters.
