Hotel Atlantis, Corfu Town, Corfu, Greece

We spent three nights at the Hotel Atlantis in Corfu Town, Corfu, Greece.
The hotels location was very good, close to the ferry ports, and within easy walking distance of the old town.

Our room was at the front of the hotel, on the third floor, overlooking the sea and ferry port. It had a nice little balcony, which we made good use of at night, sitting out enjoying the sea view.
When we arrived there was a welcome plate containing an apple, two plums, and some jelly sweets. Nice!
The room was a good size, well furnished, and clean.
The large double bed had a memory foam mattress topper, which made the bed really comfortable. It was one of the most comfortable beds we’ve slept on during on travels.

The bathroom was a decent size too, with good water pressure in the shower, endless hot water, and lots of towels. There were wall mounted dispensers of soap and shampoo/shower gel. There were a couple of other useful additions to the bathroom too, a heated towel rail (not that it was require during our Summer stay), and a wall-mounted magnifying beauty mirror.

We made our reservation online, breakfast was not included in our room rate. Breakfast was not included in any of the room rates at this hotel, according to a sign we saw in the lift. They did serve breakfast, although we never ate it.
There was a bar on the ground floor, with lots of outside seating. The drinks were a reasonable price, and they served a limited menu of food. We ate dinner outside one evening, we enjoyed it, the food was ok.

Free WiFi was available in our room. We had to ask at reception for a new code every 24 hours. The speed was good, but it frequently logged us out, so we had to keep logging back in. Slightly irritating.

The air-conditioning in our room was not a proper air-con unit at all. It was a large wall-mounted fan. It seemed to make the wall quite cold, but not the room.
Also every time we opened the balcony door the ‘air-con’ unit automatically turned itself off. This was bad, as the weather was very hot during our stay, and it was impossible to shut the balcony door from the outside. So when we spent any length of time sitting outside relaxing, the room was getting hotter and hotter by the minute.

The majority of the staff at the Hotel Atlantis in Corfu Town, Corfu were friendly and helpful. But better than that though, was the large dish of jelly sweets on the reception counter.
We would stay at Hotel Atlantis in Corfu Town, Corfu, Greece again.
