My Reaction
It was a great movie. I’m happy that the re-make of films are better than the previous one. Even if I’m not a comic book reader (except for Archie & Snoopy), I did appreciate the film.
I noticed that the voice of Batman was clearer compared to the last Batman movie I saw. In this movie, the voice of Blane was the one I can’t understand. At least I was able to comprehend what Batman was saying.
I liked the role of Alfred who in his presence and absence seems very effective. Fox on the other hand had fewer lines but was there during the action scenes.
I love Catwoman! Anne Hathaway was amazing!!!
The scenes inside the pit/well where Bruce Wayne stayed while Blane destroys the city he loves was hardest part. I thought he would never be back to save the city. His determination kept the “inmates” cheer for his freedom.
In the end, he was able to save the city but “sacrificed” himself. The act of donating his property to the orphan was a kind thing to do. I was also surprised with the ending.
After watching the movie, I think I admire Batman over Ironman. What do you think? Hahaha!

Nice write-up on “The Dark Knight Rises”- I’m sure some folks may be ticked about your spoiler regarding the ending, but oh well… Well since you already put the spoiler out there, here’s my additional observation on the ending:
*[Spolier explanation below- do not read any further in case you want to see "TDKR" first]*
Bruce Wayne faked his death, Alfred was not hallucinating or dreaming at the restaurant in the end- Remember, Lucis Fox never knew how to program the Bat’s autopilot feature- that’s why Fox smiled after the lady informed him that Bruce Wayne programmed the autopilot unbeknownst to Fox. That’s how Batman wasn’t in the Bat when he saved Gotham.
