Yummy Friday: Chocolatier Café

One evening, we were introduced to a small quaint place in Jupiter Street, Makati. I’ve never been a Makati girl since I always prefer working in Ortigas or Eastwood City area since they are closer to my place. I was once assigned in Makati when I had my OJT in Acer Philippines but that was it.

Anyway, our good friend brought us in Maitre Chocolatier at almost 10pm already. Good thing it was still open despite the late hour. When we arrived, the first thing I saw was the display of Ferrero Rocher’s chocolate wrapper designed as a dress. It was amazing! A chocolate inspired dress! Hahaha!

We noticed that the place was a bit small but jam packed. There were group of professionals or friends who just chill there and drink some coffee and have some cakes and ice creams. We were like them too so we waited for a vacant place.

When we were settled in our seats and waited for our orders, I went to the area where they sell different kinds of chocolates. I was drooling with all the chocolates coz I don’t have the budget to buy those. Waaahh.. I just took a picture with them. :p

We ordered their best sellers and had some gelato too. Again, a bit pricey for a piece of cake at first but once tasted, it’s worth it.

Golden Euphoria – Ferrero Hazelnut Crunch Cake (Php 218)

This is similar with a chocolate mousse but so much better (redundant!). If you’re a ferrero lover, you’ll simply fall in love with this piece of cake!

Sweet Revenge – Lindt Molten Lava Cake (Php 195)
Dark Chocolate molten lava cake made from Europe’s finest Lindth Excellence Dark 70%, filled with oozing sweet and vengefully spicy chocolate lava served with vanilla ice cream

Now this one’s a MUST TRY! a unique combination of hot and cold that tests your palettes. A bit spicy and bitter but heaven for dark choco lovers out there. Once you take a bite, you can’t stop! Simply amazing! ^_^

As mentioned, they have gelato area near the ferrero dress. You just have to pick your ice cream of choice.

And here’s the yummy Ferrero Rocher gelato! So delicious!

All in all, we really had a good time. The store closes at 12mn so we only had few hours to burn that night.

We definitely had a great time and glad to know a new dessert place. It’s really a good place to relax and unwind.
