The Jersey Shore Is Starting Off July With A Bang!

Looking for fun, family oriented July 4th celebrations?  You have a number of options from which to choose from here on the Jersey Shore.  Many 4th of July celebrations are taking place in the days On or Just after  the 4th, since July 4 falls on a Thursday.  The four-day weekend will allow you to take advantage of some fantastic summer getaway deals offered all summer long.  So take advantage of all the fun and create a special family weekend making the rounds to Monmouth and Ocean Counties best fireworks displays here on the Jersey Shore.

Asbury Park 4th of July Fireworks

Thursday, July 4th, 2013: Asbury Park will celebrate the 4th with a fireworks display at 2nd and 4th Avenue at the beach at about 9:00 PM.

Atlantic Highland Fireman’s Fair & Fireworks

July 2 to 6, 2013 The 2011 Atlantic Highlands Fireman’s Fair is held at the Municipal Harbor on Simon Lake Drive. The fireworks will be staged on Friday, July 5, 2013 at dusk. If you are a photographer and you want to get good shots of the fireworks here, I suggest you contact the Harbor Office and make plans well ahead of the event or get in touch with someone that has a boat in the harbor. I was chased out of every good shot I had 3 times last year.

Families can pay one price for admission and enjoy all the fair rides and the concerts on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday nights. The fair features twelve games of chance and carnival rides. Tickets for the rides can be purchased separately. There will be concerts every night of the fair and local food vendors. A Harley Davidson Motorcycle is being raffled off and it will be given away on July the 4th.

The rain date for the fireworks is Saturday, July 7, 2012.

Bradley Beach NJ Fireworks on the Beach

Thursday, July 4th, 2013 Bradley Beach will celebrate Independence day with music and fireworks. The rain date is July 5th.

Colts Neck: Country Fair & Fireworks

Friday, June 28 & Saturday, June 29, 2013 The Colts Neck Country Fair is a unique event that is held every year just before the 4th of July. This year’s fair features live music by Jo Wymer, Alexander Inglis, Don Lee, the Moroccan Sheepherders, Aardvark Smile and students from the School of Rock Other features include: inflatables, games of chance and a performance by Chris Clark Bike Stunts. There will also be rides, games and inflatables for the kids, an American Pie contest, crafts and food vendors. At the close of the fair on Friday and Saturday there will be a fireworks display at about 10:00 PM.

Freehold Concert & Fireworks

Friday July 5, 2013 The borough of Freehold will celebrate the 4th on the 5th at Freehold Raceway on Park Avenue. The festivities begin at 5:30 PM with a concert featuring the Rock & Roll Chorus featuring the songs of Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Steely Dan and more. The event draws over 20,000 people each year. The event has a community picnic feel to it. The fireworks are scheduled to begin at dusk. The gates open at 5:30 for local families to get a good seat for the concert and the fireworks. The fair is held at Freehold Raceway.

Wednesday, July 3, 2013 The Hazlet Township Fireworks will be held at Veterans Park at dusk. The event features live music and food vendors. The rain date for the fireworks is July 5.

Wednesday, July 3, 2013 The Lakewood Blueclaws will stage a fireworks display after their game with the Indianapolis Indians. The stadium is located at 2 Stadium Way in Lakewood.

Long Branch: Oceanfest, Festival & Fireworks

Thursday, July 4, 2013 This annual Fourth of July tradition is a free, family oriented festival, which attracts both local residents and visitors from throughout the region. The event takes place along a half mile stretch of the oceanfront promenade between Seven Presidents Park and the Ocean Place Resort and Spa. Activities will include master sand sculpting exhibits on the beach, strolling entertainers, live music of every imaginable type, food vendors, craft vendors and lots of activities for children. The fun-filled daytime activities offer a great prelude to a spectacular fireworks display. You might want to consider staying at the marvelous modern Bungalow Hotel that’s a few steps away from the festivities. We were there this past month and it is a great destination! Manasquan: Decorating Contest, Parade & Fireworks:

Friday, July 5, 2013 Manasquan will hold their independence day celebration this year on the 5th. It all begins at 5:00 PM with a bicycle decorating contest at the Little League Field. At 6:30 PM there will be a 4th of July parade at the Manasquan Coast Guard Station. At 7:30 there will be a concert with Billy Lawlor at the Main Beach. The day concludes with a fireworks display at dusk. The festivities are sponsored by the Manasquan Tourism Commission. The rain date is on July 6th.

Ocean Township: Celebration & Fireworks

Wednesdy, July 3, 2013 The Ocean Township 4th of July celebration will be held at Joe Palaia Park at Whalepond and Deal Roads in Oakhurst on Tuesday, July 3, 2012. The park opens at 6:00 for the community to get together and have picnics and visit each other. The fireworks will start at dusk. The rain date for the fireworks is July 5.

Saturday, July 6, 2013 Sea Bright has according to news reports been given a huge gift of a fireworks display by the town of Robbinsville. The town has not confirmed this on their website.

Union Beach: 2013 Fireworks

Date not Posted: still no information on June 24, 2013 The Union Beach Fireworks this year have quite a story behind them. The town was devastated in Hurricane Sandy and most likely would not have had the money or energy to put on a fireworks display this year, but one its residents entered a contest for a free community fireworks display and he won! So the fireworks are a definate go, but no information has been published on the details yet. We will post them as soon as we hear something.

Wall Township: Wall Fair, Run & Fireworks

June 27 through June 30, 2013: Wall Township celebrates the 4th of July with a community celebration that features a parade, carnival rides, live bands, crafts, a wiffleball tournament, a skydiving show, touch a truck, a state softball tournament, a BBQ competition, a beer and wine garden, food, fun and fireworks at dusk on Sunday, June 30th. All of these events are staged at the Wall Township Municipal Complex at 2700 Allaire Road.

Wednesday, June 26, 2013 Berkeley schedules its fireworks and concert a little differently. Each year their big day falls a little before or after the main holiday. This year it is set for Wednesday, June the 26th. The concert at Veteran’s Park features Dominique & Julian as the opening act and The Infernos for the main concerrt. The concert starts at 6:00 and the fireworks follow.

Brick Township: Fireworks & Summerfest Concert

Thursday, July 4, 2013 Brick will celebrate Summerfest with a concert by Jimmy & the Parrots at 7:00 PM. Residents are also encouraged to bring their own charcoal grill to join in the town barbecue. The fireworks extravaganza follows at 9:00 PM. The celebration is held at at Windward Beach Park.

Thursday, July 4, 2013 Lakehurst has planned a full day of activities and fireworks. The very popular car show will start at 9:00 AM at the elementary school and run till 3:00 PM. You can view the fireworks from almost any place along the edge of the lake on North and South Lake Drive. There will be a concert featuring Wilbur Wittman & the Lakewood Municipal Band at the All Wars Amphitheater at 7:30.
