Beautiful Places – North Korea

Heavens Lake sits on the border of North Korea and China.  It is one of the most beautiful places on earth, located within one of the most dangerous places on earth.

North Korea consistently ranks as the country where persecution of Christians is most extreme.  Each North Korean communist dictator is made to be worshipped as though god.  There is no room, no tolerance for religion forcing Christians to keep their faith secret, to meet in secret.

According to the World Watch List, “anyone discovered engaging in secret religious activity may be subject to arrest, disappearance, torture, even public execution.”

Pray for North Korea

• For the 50,000-70,000 Christians imprisoned in labor camps. Ask God to sustain them.
• That God would change the heart of Kim Jong-Un, and use him to reform the country.
• For protection for Open Doors workers and contacts bringing practical and spiritual support to believers.
