A Walk Through Chagrin Falls, Ohio
This past weekend I went on an overnight getaway to Chagrin Falls, Ohio. I hadn’t traveled anywhere since February when I went on my Disney cruise and while I have scores of trips planned for the rest of the year,I was dying to go somewhere in the meantime. Chagrin Falls proved to be the perfect “quick and easy get away.”
Chagrin Falls is officially part of the Cleveland metropolitan area although once there you will find that it’s small town America in every way. On Main Street you could find everything from charming small businesses that sold lovely wares, restaurants and small eateries that all looked delicious and made it doubly hard to choose which ones to try on our limited time, and droves of people. It didn’t hurt that it was a simply beautiful spring day when we visited, but everyone was out and about-pet owners walking their dogs, children walking home from school (usually unheard of in suburban America), and individuals who were clearly just head over heels for their enchanting small town.
While originally I had planned on spending some time at nearby Cuyahoga National Park, I decided (for once) that this trip shouldn’t have a lot of activity. And with how delightful Chagrin Falls, it proved to be the best choice.
