3 Things to Consider When Choosing a Quality Interior Design Firm

When hiring an architect or interior design firm to design or decorate your business–regardless of type–it’s important to look for certain key features in a company. Established firms have demonstrated authority, and they have a vast portfolio to prove their merit.

Here are 3 things to consider when choosing a quality interior design firm:

1. Portfolio with great pics is a must

Interior design is a visual process, and if a company has a solid portfolio, you can find a company based on your personal preferences. Steer clear of firms that don’t regularly update their portfolio.

2. Great interior build-outs

For those of you who’ve already purchased a commercial property that needs renovating, you’ll want to have a company with great interior build outs. For example, I was able to find units in the Marquis Miami that have had interior build-outs by MV Group and they were fabulous!  Go for something sleek, polished, visually appealing, and suitable to your personality, too. You’ll be spending the most time in the building, so you’ll want it renovated to your standards. Never settle for less than the best.

3. Choose an interior design firm with great core values, knowledge, solid reputation and innovative talent

Choose an interior design firm which exceeds client expectations, always communicates with their clients, and considers your advice when embarking on renovations. Make sure deadlines are established, contracts are firmly vetted and in place, and the firm has an innovative approach to interior design.

There are other indices to check into, but these are the big ones. As with anything, research, research, research, and do your homework.
