Dan Hynes For Illinois Governor Election Results 2010 May End Up In Court Video

Chicago, Il- The stakes are high as Dan Hynes waits for all the votes to be counted.  The Illinois Governor Election Results are tipping in favor of Pat Quinn though his opponent is holding out hope that the final tally will be in his favor.  With only 7,000 votes separating the Democratic Party Candidates For Governor, this typical Chicago style political battle will probably rage to the bitter end with Dan Hynes and his supporters holding out hope.

Also, there remains the strong possibility of a request for a recount.  Under Illinois rules any candidate within 5 percent of the leader can request a recount by requesting a discovery process that recounts ballots in certain precincts.  Once that is completed and the second place candidate presents evidence to a judge of possible issues with the orginal count process, the judge may in fact decide to issue a court-ordered statewide recount.

The Senate Primary Elections went off without any hiccups as Republican Mark Kirk will face Democrat Alexi Giannoulias to determine the successor to the vacant Illinois Senate Seat in the Fall of 2010.
