Pat Quinn For Governor Illinois Election Results May Favor Dan Hynes

Chicago, Il – The Primary for Governor in Illinois may turn out to favor Dan Hynes over current Governor Pat Quinn.  The Illinois Governor Election Results in the Democratic Primary is assumed to be extremely close.

UPDATE: 10:11 PM VIRTUAL TIE 417,000 Quinn to 412,000 Hynes 94% of Precincts Reporting

UPDATE: 9:36 PM Pat Quin n Lead Down to 51% to 49% with 83% of Precincts Reporting.  Difference of 377,000 to 367,000.

UPDATE: 9:03 PM Pat Quin n Lead Down to 51% to 49% with 68% of Precincts Reporting.  Difference of 325,000 to 307,000.

UPDATE: 8:26 PM  Pat Quinn With Commanding 53% to 47% lead with 43% of precincts reporting

 The latest polls leading up to Primary Day showed a 4 point margin of victory for Quinn over his rival, Democratic Comptroller Dan Hynes.  The problem for Quinn is that he had a 20%+ point margin a month ago.  There was a large segment of the electorate who consider themselves undecided going into primary day.

A new poll in the 2010 Illinois Democratic primary for governor has Governor Pat Quinn’s lead over Comptroller Dan Hynes shaved to 4 points.

Gulp.

Quinn, who had been leading Hynes by 26 points in December, now leads only 44%-40%, with 13% of primary voters undecided, according to a new poll by the Chicago Tribune.
