Round Three Carrying Concealed

My family and I traveled over to the Denver area yesterday to go house hunting. Denver is about five hours away from where we are currently living, so naturally I wanted to bring some protection for our road trip. That meant carrying concealed.

I’ve been talking about my experiences lately carrying concealed since I’m a complete noob to carrying a concealed handgun and I’ve been experimenting with different ways. I mentioned that I ordered a new holster as well, but it hasn’t come in yet.

Still though, even with my current holster I think I’ve found the best way for me to carry it. It seems to me that carrying it inside the waste band on my 4 O’clock is the best. It tucks in nicely with my love handle and I don’t have to wear ultra baggy clothing. In fact I had it on the night before last this way with just a t-shirt, and you couldn’t see it.

I wore it this way for about 14 hours yesterday, and although it was not as comfortable as not wearing it, it wasn’t too bad. I was able to sit, and drive with it without too much discomfort. Nobody, including my wife, knew I had it on me. It worked out great!

I can’t wait until I get my Shepherd holster though, as I’m sure it will be an even better and more comfortable experience. Until then though, my current holster on the inside of my waist band at 4 O’clock will do.
