“American Lives Matter” –The Donald Trump Appeal

No other subject has captured as much recent across-the-board interest on this blog as billionaire turned politician, Donald Trump. It is an appeal that has catapulted the real estate tycoon and cultural icon into the top of the polls as well as garnering backlash attention from the Mainstream Media as well as both the Clinton and Bush political machines.

Mr. Trump’s opponents, perhaps even many of his supporters, are stunned by how effectively his “Make America Great Again” message resonated with voters. This surprising result is generating  a greater and greater number to ask, WHY? Why is Donald Trump presently so popular with so many?

Perhaps it is a far more simple answer than some might think. Perhaps it is because at its core, the Trump message is that American lives matter.  ALL American lives. It is a message of unity, of lost strength regained, and a better future than the present we currently find ourselves living.

Perhaps too it is the stark contrast between a man unapologetic for his own success and belief that others can succeed as well because this truly is a great country with even greater potential and almost eight years of a president who constantly appeared intent on diminishing America, reminding everyone of its faults, and only speaking of a potential that was worthy if it was made in his own image.

Donald Trump embraces the bold, brash, and unapologetic America that made it THE world’s superpower. Barack Obama has made clear his disapproval of that version of America, and instead has it wallowing in division, debt, and political debauchery.

While Barack Obama and his Mainstream Media cohorts continue working to divide Americans against one another, Donald Trump sees America as just that – AMERICA. He does not view it as a place of colors, or gender, or socio-economic status but rather as a place of incredible opportunity for everyone.

Since announcing his candidacy, and then seeing a rise in the polls, Mr. Trump has faced an onslaught of attacks from politicians, corporations, and left-wing media. So far he has shrugged it off and carried on. That alone makes him remarkably unique in  an era dominated by increasingly fearful political figures who hire “experts” to tell them what to think, what to say, and how to say it.

Last night in Phoenix “The Donald” arrived to thousands of cheering supporters and gave a 70-minute speech that though meandering at times, also entertained, informed, and inspired. It was the most non-political, political speech I’ve ever witnessed. A fascinated spectacle generated by the personality force of nature that is Donald Trump.

“Don’t worry, we’ll take our country back.”

So said the charismatic billionaire in Phoenix, words which caused an eruption of loud cheers not so much because they were merely spoken, but because they were in fact spoken by a man who appears to truly believe it so.

And not a teleprompter in sight.
