Comey Testimony Throws Cold Water on Democrat-Media Lynch Mob

The mood in Washington D.C. was festive and filled with anticipation on Thursday morning as former FBI Director James Comey would give his long-awaited public testimony on President Donald Trump.

The media swarmed unlike anything seen since the O.J. Simpson trial, Beltway bars were doing special promotions including “impeachmint cocktails and vodka shots” while tuning big screen televisions into the hearing and Democrats strained hard to avoid peeing in their pants as they waited for Comey to drop the hammer on Trump.

The media spin had built to a crescendo that the disgruntled Comey would provide the smoking gun on national television that not only was the Trump a secret Kremlin agent but also that he obstructed justice by firing the head of the bureau conducting the investigation to cover his tracks.

By the time that Comey’s crackerjack public relations team in the media got their hands on his opening statement that was released a day in advance of his appearance, the impeachment charges were already literally being drawn up by Democrats.

But around noon, after Comey had finished being questioned, the air had rushed out of the balloon and the anti-Trump media was in full damage control mode trying to spin what was a total disaster for Democrats into something that it wasn’t.

The tall man rambled, whined, accused the president of being a liar and even tossed out a quote from England’s King Henry II circa 1170 and mixed it in with the cheesy Mr. Smith Goes to Washington mush of “Lordy, I hope there are tapes” which has already become an internet meme.

Comey laid it on thick but much to the chagrin of the so-called Resistance, he clarified that Trump was not under investigation and refused to say that he was asked to shut down any FBI inquiries.

Showboat Comey spun his memos documenting conversations with Trump as being what he perceived rather than what was reality – a helluva big difference.

Those who had gathered together to party at D.C. bars to cheer for Comey sat in funereal silence, much like Redskins fans who were watching their team absorb an epic big game beatdown.

D.C. bars and restaurants that opened their doors early on Thursday were jam-packed — yet at times virtually silent — as Washingtonians gathered to take in former FBI Director James Comey’s first public testimony since his firing by President Trump.

It was standing-room only at 10 a.m. at Duffy’s Irish Pub, as everyone from journalists hunting for stories, to a pair of moms cradling weeks-old babies (with one of the young patrons sporting a red, white, and blue number), filled the bar in the District’s Shaw neighborhood.

Despite the crowd size, the Irish eatery remained almost soundless for hours on end, as onlookers watched Comey be questioned by lawmakers in a seeming stunned silence.

The revelers were deprived of that one big moment when all of their conspiracy theories would come together to form a mosaic that would end with Trump’s removal from office.

There will be many mean drunks in Washington tonight so motorists should beware.

What Comey did say can’t be comforting to Democrats, especially in regards former Obama Attorney General Loretta Lynch.

Mr. Comey essentially fingered Lynch as a Clinton crime family puppet who was impeding the FBI’s investigation into Hillary’s emails by making the request that the bureau “downplay” the matter. It was a request that the former director said gave him a “queasy feeling”, probably similar to the one that Dems have in the pits of their stomachs this afternoon.

But then the man who Trump reportedly called a “nutjob” revealed that he himself had encouraged the infamous Comey memo to be leaked to the New York Times through a cutout. One wonders if Comey had a part in that leak then a logical question would be did he play a role in the others?

Adding insult to injury to the salivating presstitutes, Trump refrained from tweeting during the hearing.

Comey’s testimony was so rife with contradictions, caveats and weasel words that it will take a bit of time to untangle them but at the end of the day the left was just served up a big nothing-burger with a vodka chaser.

Senator John McCain also laments his blown chances after making a complete ass out of himself today, blaming his performance on staying up late to watch baseball or in more appropriate terms: the dog ate the 35-page PeeGate dossier that I personally passed on to Comey.

Thursday morning was such a disappointment that the normally frenetic MSNBC blabbermouth Chris Matthews admitted that it was time to call the dogs in and piss on the fire.

Liberal MSNBC host Chris Matthews said Thursday the accusation that President Trump directly colluded with Russia to interfere in the U.S. election “came apart” following former FBI Director James Comey’s testimony in front of Congress.

In his written and spoken testimony on Thursday, Comey said that he never felt that Trump had tried to impede the FBI’s investigation into Russia, even that the president had encouraged it and he suggested that former national security adviser Mike Flynn wasn’t at the heart of the investigation.

“The assumption of the critics of the president, of his pursuers, you might say, is that somewhere along the line in the last year is the president had something to do with colluding with the Russians … to affect the election in some way,” Matthews said on MSNBC, following the testimony.

“And yet what came apart this morning was that theory,” Matthews said, listing two reasons why. First, he said Comey revealed that “Flynn wasn’t central to the Russian investigation,” and secondly, he said that kills the idea that Flynn might have been in a position to testify against Trump.

“And if that’s not the case, where’s the there-there?” Matthews said.

Somewhere, Rachel Maddow is screaming.

The problem for Democrats is that they are already in way too deep to climb out of the massive hole that they have dug for themselves with the Trump-Russia witch hunt. The longtime insider Matthews is cunning like garbage rat and is already looking for a way to save face.

The same won’t happen with the rest of the left who are now like Uncle Remus’s Brer Rabbit who has become hopelessly entangled with the tar baby. Look for Dems to triple-down, some like ferocious Trump hating Senator Chris Murphy are already demanding that the POTUS himself be forced to testify under oath but that’s unlikely to happen.

Truthfully the grand Russian conspiracy has been unraveling for quite some awhile now and it’s time to be done with this circus of lies and stupidity and getting down to the real crime of Obama administration officials exploiting the nation’s anti-terrorism surveillance systems for political means.

Loretta Lynch would be a fine choice to receive a subpoena because in Obama’s Justice Department, the fish rots from the head down.

Comey Day is now mercifully over with nothing left but the crying over spilled milk.
