GOP Candidate Makes Mincemeat Out of Democrat Geek Jon Ossoff in Georgia 6 Debate

Democrats are putting everything that they’ve got into the special election runoff in Georgia’s 6^th Congressional district but there are signs that they may be flushing their money down the toilet.

Besides the terrible choice for a candidate in terms of optics – a creepy looking, metrosexual, Star Wars geek named Jon Ossoff – the Dems have no message outside of being anti-Trump.

Alarm bells should have begun to ring when Ossoff chickened out of a CNN debate and considering the ass-whupping that he took from Republican opponent Karen Handel in Tuesday’s local debate it’s easy to see that Ossoff isn’t ready for prime time.

Democratic congressional candidate Jon Ossoff struggled through a brutal four minutes in Georgia’s special election debate Tuesday night after Republican Karen Handel called him out for not living in the district he is hoping to represent.

As part of the debate format, the candidates were given the opportunity to ask each other questions. Handel turned to Ossoff and asked him a question he couldn’t answer: who he was going to vote for in the special election. As someone who lives outside the district, Ossoff is unable to cast a vote for himself. It went downhill from there for Ossoff.

After a prolonged silence, Ossoff defended himself by saying he lives outside the district in order to support his fiance, a medical student at Emory University. He then attacked Handel for being born in Washington, D.C. and for asking about where he lives instead of the “questions of concern to the voters of the 6th District.”

“Actually, it is of concern to the voters of the 6th district that you do not live in our community. And while I was born in Washington, D.C., I didn’t get to pick where I was born but the fact is I’ve been in Georgia almost as long as you’ve even been alive,” Handel shot back. “You might live just five miles outside of the district but your values are nearly 3,000 miles away in San Francisco, and that’s why so many of your contributions have come from liberals from California, New York and Massachusetts. It’s why you’re supported by Nancy Pelosi, and folks it matters.”

“It’s no wonder that my opponent didn’t want to do the Atlanta press club debate — it was going to be aired on CNN where all folks from around the country, all of his liberal supporters were going to see it and the fake Jon Ossoff was going to collide with the real Jon Ossoff who is a Nancy Pelosi-backed liberal,” Handel concluded emphatically.

Ouch! Handel couldn’t have hurt her opponent any more short of beating him with a baseball bat.

Ossoff just proved that like Marco Rubio, he is a talking point spewing automaton who is unable to think on his feet if he gets knocked off script. He is a manufactured establishment politician and a lousy one at that.

There is no way to overstate how important that the Georgia 6 runoff election is for the Democrats and the virulent strain of liberalism that is metastasizing across the nation, they desperately need that one special election win to set that media narrative that the country has turned against Trump. It would be fake news but the Democrat surrogates at CNN, the New York Times and the Washington Post are experts in the art of deception and the propaganda will be intense if Ossoff ekes out a win.

The good news is that Democrats have already been beaten in the other two special elections, in Kansas and in Montana. Georgia is shaping up to be strike three.

While hating on President Trump may feel good to Dems looking to avenge Hillary Clinton’s stunning loss, it doesn’t put food on the table for voters who are more concerned with better jobs and affordable healthcare.

Russian conspiracy theories and identity politics don’t fill bellies and the Democrats will continue to lose elections until they are able to get that through their thick skulls.
