Former President Bill Clinton’s one-time plaything Monica Lewinsky has resurfaced and is leveraging her victimhood into what could be a new career of fame, fortune and influence.

One of more disgusting aspects of the lamentable Clinton presidency was Slick Willie’s inability to keep his snake in its cage with a certain chubby young intern.

Bubba’s dalliances with then 23-year-old Monica Lewinsky were an affront to decency and beneath the dignity of the office of the presidency.

Ms. Lewinsky returned to the public eye a few years back in an article for Vanity Fair magazine where she detailed her account of her foray with the pervert in chief and the accompanying media circus that turned her into America’s most famous mistress.

More recently, Monica was a big hit with liberals after she excoriated the late Roger Ailes in a New York Times op-ed piece only days after the conservative media titan died.

Now she is the subject of a new movie about the sordid sex scandal that nearly brought down a president and inflicted a long-lasting psychological trauma on his jilted wife Hillary that could have played a role in driving her mad.

According to The Blaze “Amazon is making a movie about the Monica Lewinsky scandal”:

Amazon Studios has acquired the rights to “Linda and Monica,” a script detailing the short-lived relationship between Monica Lewinsky and Linda Tripp.

The script, written by Flint Wainess, was on the 2016 Black List, a catalog of the film industry’s top unproduced screenplays, Deadline reported. The film will detail Lewinsky and Tripp’s friendship in the 1990s, which imploded when revelations about the affair between Lewinsky, who was a White House intern, and former President Bill Clinton surfaced.

At the time, Tripp was a White House aide. Tripp secretly recorded Lewinsky’s account of her sexual encounters with the former president in the White House and she later leaked the audio recordings to Kenneth Starr, the special prosecutor who was investigating Whitewater.

Tripp claimed she was releasing the tapes to Starr because she was looking out for the best interests of her friend, Lewinsky. The bombshell revelation led to a very public legal battle and, ultimately, Clinton’s impeachment.

The movie will most certainly portray Lewinsky as a sympathetic character led astray by a sleazy sex fiend instead of the manipulative trollop that she was.

When Ms. Lewinsky made the personal choice to flirt with the sex maniac in chief – fully aware of his reputation of a horn dog and accused rapist – when she made the conscious decision to wear a thong and jiggle her pudgy butt cheeks at him, it was the equivalent of a matador waving a red cape at a bull and she knew damn well what she was getting into at the time.

In the aforementioned New York Times op-ed entitled “Roger Ailes’s Dream Was My Nightmare” she clearly relished kicking a dead man who was unable to defend himself:

This is not another obituary for Roger Ailes, who died last week 10 months after being ousted at Fox News. It is, I hope, instead an obituary for the culture he purveyed — a culture that affected me profoundly and personally.

Just two years after Rupert Murdoch appointed Mr. Ailes to head the new cable news network, my relationship with President Bill Clinton became public. Mr. Ailes, a former Republican political operative, took the story of the affair and the trial that followed and made certain his anchors hammered it ceaselessly, 24 hours a day.

It worked like magic: The story hooked viewers and made them Fox loyalists. For the past 15 years, Fox News has been the No. 1 news station; last year the network made about $2.3 billion.

Some experts have noted that viewers found Fox for the first time because of the crisis. John Moody, a Fox executive editor, reflected on that period: “The Lewinsky saga put us on the news map.” As he put it in another interview: “Monica was a news channel’s dream come true.”

Their dream was my nightmare. My character, my looks and my life were picked apart mercilessly.

Meantime, Mr. Ailes huddled with his employees at Fox News, dictating a lineup of talking heads to best exploit this personal and national tragedy.

You bet that it became a media spectacle but it’s a total lie to blame it all on Fox News and Roger Ailes and to her credit Lewinsky also spits venom at the highly popular Drudge Report

The roaring 1990’s were a period when news was undergoing a transformation to tabloid cheese and celebrity sex scandals, both of which were huge moneymakers and continue to be to this day.

Given that the objective of a ratings grab and raking in the money, it wasn’t only Fox. CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, The New York Times, Washington Post and all the others also wanted a piece of the action. As the advertising maxim goes: nothing sells like sex.

Such a story would naturally benefit Fox News because that was back in the day when it was still staunchly conservative. It wasn’t Ailes who got down on his knees and opened wide for Mr. Clinton so Lewinsky’s blaming him is shameless and dishonest.

Roger Ailes was just doing his job and covering the news as well as being responsible to his company’s shareholders.

People tend to have short memories though and this is especially the case with liberals.

The Lewinsky scandal had all the elements of ratings gold: adultery, lechery, debauchery, abuse of power, kinky sex acts, that incriminating stained blue dress and most of all the sitting president of the United States.

Bill Clinton was the force multiplier and had it not been his tawdry affair with an eager and willing young woman who was of the legal age of consent then nobody would even know who she is today. Put it this way – she could have done those nasty things with any one of millions of other men and there would have been no story at all to exploit for ratings.

As the saying goes, it takes two to tango.

While the title may be Linda and Monica it could just as easily be Deep Throat II.
