President Donald Trump was mocked when, during a Tuesday press conference, he suggested that anti-statue activists would soon turn on Thomas Jefferson or George Washington. Well, a Chicago pastor just proved him right.
A bronze statue of George Washington on horseback stands at the corner of 51st and King Drive, at the northwest entrance to Washington Park.
Bishop James Dukes, pastor of Liberation Christian Center, said he wants the statue gone, and he wants George Washington’s name removed from the park.
Trump’s critics said that the founding fathers would not become a target because slave ownership was socially-acceptable in the 18th and early 19th century. So if slave ownership is not the reason for Bishop Duke wanting our first president’s monument removed, what ever could it be?
“In an African-American community, it’s a slap in the face and it’s a disgrace for them to honor someone who was a slave owner,” Dukes said.
Oh? Surprise! It was because he was a slave owner.
But Washington’s monument and park aren’t enough for the bishop. He also wants nearby Andrew Jackson Park renamed because President Jackson also owned slaves. With his thinking, all monuments to the founding fathers will need to be eradicated, hidden, renamed or moved … somewhere.
Such is the war on statues. The history-erasing left sees their current goal of removing civil war statues almost complete. Cities are now pulling up monuments in droves and in the dead of night. The statue warriors are gaining a foothold in the minds of Americans. They have convinced the public that it is ok to erase the events and people that made this country what it is. And they need the war to continue.
As I wrote yesterday, the founding fathers will be next. Then Reagan, Bush (both), maybe some great generals like Ike or Patton would need to be de-romanticized (or whatever term they make up for it.) Who knows? What is certain is that it will continue.
Historical negationism has its roots in Communism so it is no wonder that groups like the World Workers Party are at the forefront of The War on Statues.
For the American way of life to cease, for that shining city on the hill to go dark all we need to do is let history fade.

Good to know that the Texas School board are now Communists. Remember the time that Cynthia Dunbar dropped references to slave trade and removed Thomas Jefferson from books?
Anyway, The statue issue isn’t about who owned slaves. It is about what they were fighting for. Washington fought for the emancipation of slaves while Robert E. Lee fought for other ideals and preserving slave trade.
Washington also often privately expressed a dislike of the institution of slavery. That is fact as it is documented.
I am not sure where you heard that but Robert E Lee not only freed his slaves but freed any slave that came his way. He also worked to create ways to help freed slaves.
The civil war was economic in nature and was not about slavery. Even Lincoln proclaimed this to be true. The real issues that were fought about were private property rights which the union took away and imposed taxes upon land owners as well as stopping the south from selling their output directly to Europe bypassing the Union.
The north wanted their cut. Simple as that. Economics.

Agree this is their plan. This is no different than the dark ages where history was hidden while the elite 13th tribe were going into foreign lands and stealing those lands, etc. for themselves. This is what happens when the people are dumbed down. People are still unable to recognize the fake façade propaganda preached daily to the masses. They buy it hook, line and sinker….pathetic. Their is no yearning in their hearts for truth. They question nothing. The plot to destroy truthful history is gearing up stronger and stronger. A few hours ago on a site I posted an honest answer about Nazism but when I refreshed my page discovered they sent my comment way down to the bottom of the list of comments hoping others would not see it. But did see two likes. RedState blocked me months ago as did a couple of other sites. The silencing of truth is becoming a danger. Demanding anything from our senators is a joke. Boycotting does speak but only to certain people. How can you order something on line without going thru google, or amazon, etc., or using pay pal. They have us by the neck.
It would be smart to replace all these slave owners (Washington was the largest and grew rich exploiting and selling slaves) with those who fought to end slavery, with honoring not those who profited from the misery of others but the victims and those who rose up to fight against slavery. It would be smart because it would teach that opposing tyranny is better than committing it and might help us learn from our history so we don’t keep repeating it, destroying nation after nation in the name of “freedom” as we repeat the same crimes we honor in our national heroes.
No more slave owners honored in the public square; replace them with those who struggled against slavery: they are the true heroes.
My take from some very interesting Molyneux interviews involving IQ and social compatibility is, that in order to function well, a Democratic style society, must maintain a minimum average IQ of about 90. Any lower and the founding concepts of that society are beyond the intellectual capabilities of that population to maintain.
With all this lower IQ immigration complementing an already low IQ sub-population, we are experiencing this theory in real-time! We are in the midst of the devolution of European type governments of the world into a new, third world view structure of government …. eventually imitating the one in the movie Planet of the Apes!

there are several more big anti-slavery anti-kkk anti-discrimination anti-founding fathers protests scheduled this month, dont be surprised if additional slave-owner statues like george washington and thomas jefferson also get removed , dc won’t be a safe place because it has statues on almost every street corner
