New release suggests EMP attack from orbiting nuke

WASHINGTON – North Korea has released another video showing a nuclear weapons attack, this time on Washington, D.C., raising once again the specter that the Hermit State is planning to launching a pre-emptive nuclear attack on the United States.

A video released only a short time ago depicted a nuclear attack on New York City. 

The two videos – each depicting an attack on a major city on the U.S. East Coast – strongly suggest the North Koreans have intentions of orbiting a nuclear weapon that would be deorbited to explode a high-altitude nuclear device – sending out an electromagnetic pulse that would destroy a significant portion of the U.S. electric grid system.

The North Koreans are assessed to have a three-stage missile capable of reaching the U.S. West Coast.

Last January, Pyongyang tested the missile which U.S. officials said could reach Alaska and possibly California.

In shooting the missile, the North Koreans orbited a package which may have been a test to deorbit a nuclear weapon upon command and explode it high over a densely populated region on the East Coast, thereby extending strike capability another 2,000 miles.

Following the January missile test, the North Koreans undertook an underground nuclear weapons test in February that experts believe was to test the miniaturization of a nuclear weapon that could fit on the three-stage missile – which it successfully had tested.
