ANY US Attack On Syria Would Be A War Crime: Legal Expert

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

Any US strike against Syria would be a war crime, according to the UN Charter against aggressive war, an international lawyer told Press TV Wednesday. This is the most serious of war crimes, as per the Nuremburg Trials.

“Any attack by the United States upon Syria would be a violation of the UN Charter prohibition against aggressive war, which is the more serious [form] of war crimes,” said Alfred Lambremont Webre in a Tuesday interview on Press TV.

Webre stated that, according to the Nuremberg principles that set the definition of the war crimes guideline, the US “is starting an aggressive war against another nation.”

U.S. President Barack Obama’s decision to seek congressional authorization to attack Syria as an attempt to “get some political cover and some legal cover behind him,” according to Webre, who emphasized that the United States already has a record of presidents ruled as war cirminals in international tribunals.

A senate committee voted for limited military action against Syria on Wednesday, but did so against international law.

“Under international law, the U.S. Congress cannot sanction or provide legal cover to any attack by the US,” the legal expert noted.

Western powers along with their regional allies, especially Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey, are supporting the militant rebels operating inside Syria, allegedly responsible for the chemical attacks.

Calling for military action against Syria intensified after “foreign-backed opposition forces accused the government of President Bashar al-Assad of launching a chemical attack on militant strongholds in the suburbs of Damascus on August 21,” Press TV reports.

Since then, three important revelations have been exposed, aside from the fact that the United States is supporting the rogue rebels who used the chemical weapons but then blamed on Assad to depose him:

1. The UK sent materials to Syria to make chemical weapon;

2. The U.S. intelligence machine has been involved in the attack;

3. The U.S. had already deployed its navy to Syria before the chemical weapon attack.

Saturday, Obama said he’d seek congressional authorization to attack Syria as Washington “cannot and will not turn a blind eye” to an alleged chemical attack in the Arab state.

The Obama administration says, however, that it “has the right” to attack Syria, even if Congress does not give authorization to do so.

Syria has been gripped by deadly unrest since 2011, destined for that ever since The United States included it as a major target in 2002.

Former Vice President Dick Cheney, as chair of the U.S. Energy Task Force, offically called the National Energy Policy Development Group (NEPDG), laid out plans to use aggression on oil and gas resource-rich Middle East countries. The plan was complete, with maps showing oil reserves, pipelines and planned pipelines and an emphasis on Iraq.

Less than six months later, a false flag – the 9/11 massacre that Bush ordered his 9/11 Commission to lie about in its official report - occurred so that those countries, one by one, starting with Iraq, could each be rapidly labeled rogue and part of Bush’s “axis of evil” to kick-start the war on terror. Nations in the “axis of evil” included Iran, Iraq, and North Korea.

On May 6, 2002, then-Undersecretary of State John R. Bolton gave a speech, Beyond the Axis of Evil. In it, he added three more nations to be grouped with the already labeled rogue states: Cuba, Libya, and Syria.

One by one, the United States would commit war crimes against each of these nations so that it and mainly Israel could benefit politically and financially from stealing their strategic positions and their oil and gas.

The world is watching the unfolding of a premeditated war crime against Syria.

      Then the Senate Committee which just *authorized* a strike on Syria, 10 to 7, should also be held accountable. Who will do the accounting if We,The People don’t rein in these madmen???

      My guess is that any accountability scenario would create a case of *leadership crisis* requiring UN oversight and perhaps even receivership (in the case of an ensuing economic collapse) of the United States. Certainly dovetails nicely with the globalist agenda. :cry:

        Point well taken, W. The psychos are ruling the planet.

      It bears repeating over and over: A US attack on Syria would be a violation of international law, one of a long string of illegal, immoral acts of aggression not justified by an attack on the US. The key to moral and and legal judgment is to reverse the positions of attacker and attackee: If Syria were to attack the US in the absence of US aggression against Syria, it would be an illegal and immoral act of war.

      I’m sure Obama is quite relieved to learn attacking Syria will be a war crime. This ensures the American people will be alright with it, nobody will be punished, and we can all get back to concentrating on football, porn and “American Idol.”

        At least American football and american idol watchers found guilty of war crime complicity later on won’t be able to use what Germans tried using in the Nuremberg trials, “But we didn’t know.” Thanks, JustACommnet.
