Since the beginning of 9/11 cops have been on a rampage killing over 5,000 citizens. While some of these include self-defense, which I believe are legit, some sadly do not. If we were to take these numbers and compare them to ‘terrorism’, statistically speaking Americans are eight times more likely to be shot by a cop than a “terrorist.”
While police are supposed to be law enforcers and protectors of peace and stability, the sad truth is many are more focused on enforcing laws, making arrests, and issuing citations than anything else.
Now that we have arrived in 2014 and citizen deaths by police are steadily rising. We have reason to believe police officers are being psychologically trained to see citizens as the enemy rather than someone they need to protect. Could this be the reason for the increase in military vehicles, MRAPS, and riot gear now owned by local PD’s? Doctor Edward Group and Infowars seem to think so….
Considering police departments are not required to turn in information regarding the use of force by its officers, everyday citizens have now taken it upon themselves to collect the date. Wikipedia also has a list of “justifiable homicides” in the US, which was created by documenting deaths. Here is a sample showing only Aug. 2014 (some ‘justified’ some not)…

I’m afraid I have to agree with you. Many unarmed citizens have been shot and killed in the state where I live. A significant number of them were killed during routine traffic stops. Quite a few people did nothing illegal and simply reached over to open the glove compartment, presumably to retrieve their car registrations and were shot on the spot! Not once has any police officer been found guilty of undue violence. Cops have even shot at cars when there were children in the back seat!
Hopefully, men in blue will do their duty and begin to police the police…Although, I know it isn’t easy dealing with so many idiots in the public…There should be alternatives to killing suspects…A suspect should only be shot when he is in danger of hurting someone ( lethally).

I strongly agree with this article, No one in my city of Barrie Ontario population 250,000. Calls the police anymore. Because their scared of them. Its gotten so bad here that the police go door to door asking people if they know of any crimes have got any tips then they proceed by giving them a pieace of paper with their number and other tip hotlines.

I have strong feelings on this subject for two reasons:
This past spring my elderly brother in law ( a normally passive person) went off his meds and had a break with reality. He left his home in bare feet and literally raving ‘out of his mind.” I got a phone call at midnight…….because I am the only member of the family who can ‘reach him’ when he gets like this.
I left immediately to go help in the search. Twenty mins later…I reached his home to find he still wasn’t home and no one had called 911.
So….I called 911 and informed dispatch first of my brother in laws medical condition and THEN told that he was missing in the neighborhood and that he was confused…..that he might be trying to enter another residence….under the impression that it was HIS HOME.
The ending result was that six harden police officers found him trying to enter a church thirty seconds after they got the alert about “a mental patient loose in the neighborhood.” While trying to detain him…….my brother inlaw……grabbed for an officers gun.
But because everyone had his information……he was not beaten or killed. Rather, he was treated kindly and they ushered me to his location.
When He saw me……his whole attitude changed…..he became sweet loving and co-operative.
I saw six hardened cops look on in confusion that night as I walked that man away like a child.
I heard one ask my husband …”How did she do that?” My husband replied…….”He thinks she’s
an angel……”
My husband told me the cops cried……..
ON THE OTHER HAND
When I was in my early twenties I lived in a small town with two officers. One working nights the other working days. I wasn’t married. I went to work at 2pm and home at 11pm.
Every night at 11pm the police officer on night shift started finding a reason to pull me over. Every night. There was only one way home. I couldn’t avoid it.
I lived with my parents and he knew it….so he didn’t push things…but he did harass me. Un-necessary field sobriety tests (I’d just left work)….speeding tickets that where undeserved, break a light and write a ticket for it…..
I went to city leaders and complained…..but no one cared.
I finally to a vacation….went three states away to witness the birth of my niece. I was gone for two weeks. My disappearance must have really upset the cop because he put out a warrant for my arrest. He accused me of ‘STREET RACING”
in a Honda accord….in 1992.
Anyway my mom called (mortified the cops had come to pick up her little girl) while I was still in Charleston. I explained things to her…..and I hired a lawyer) I had video of me at the birth of my niece, in Charleston…..on the date in question…..
Dude never worked as a cop again.

I am amazed at the outcome you experienced with your brother in law’s case. If it was a recent story, even more so. Glad it worked out.

I fully believe that God was moving his hand over us that night. One of the officers told me that it was literally 30 seconds after he wrote down my brother in laws description that the alarm sounded on the church.
As far as the rogue cop…..it wasn’t as easy as it sounds. I hired a lawyer and was still found guilty at trial. But the lawyer took it to appeal for free…..and won. He told me later that the judge was known to rubber stamp every thing guilty ( for the money) and that he represented me because it was “the right thing to do.”
The cop in question was harassing other girls at the time. After I won my case, and word got out……the day shift cop ( a good guy) started spreading the word. Each lady started hiring lawyers and filing complaints……mine was the first….by the time I won my appeal….the rogue had 15 complaints filed against him……..
He was fired in such a manner as to insure he would never work in law enforcement again.

Increasing militarism of police in this country makes lethal response a standard operating practice. Rather than training to defuse conflict, police are given increasing technology and training to employ force. They are equipped with arms that enable killing. Is anyone surprised that arming these guys to the teeth would result in employing lethal instruments in preference to subduing threats?
