Is Putin Starting WW3?

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

His goal: Reunify the Russian people across Eastern Europe. His tactics: Infiltrate the former Soviet states, and stockpile Russia’s weapons supply. Moscow correspondent Oliver Bullough says that President Vladimir Putin is on a mission to rebuild his country to its former glory – and reverse the events of 1989, when the Russian empire dissolved and was left in tatters.

For Russia, national intervention is the only means of salvation for the abandoned peoples of the Russian Federation, who are scattered across the former Soviet states. And this spells bad news for the rest of us…

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AuHJVX2Nj6s

On February 27th 2014, 6000 Russian troops marched across the Crimean peninsula in Ukraine, and seized military bases, government buildings and political strongholds. Almost immediately, Russia called a referendum, which voted in favour of Crimea joining the Russian federation. The West denounced the referendum as illegitimate, but it didn’t matter; the damage had already been done. Putin was one step closer to fulfilling his dream of reunification of the Russian people.

The recent activity in Eastern Europe sounds all too familiar to a series of military events that occurred in the 1930s. Ideological revenge, the flouting of International laws and military expansion. Putin will stop at nothing to rebuild his 20th Century superpower. And history has a habit of repeating itself.

Putin called the collapse of the Soviet Union ‘the greatest geopolitical catastrophe of the 20th Century’. To Putin, it was an almighty failure, and rescuing those abandoned Russian minorities in former Soviet states is a political necessity. Which is why, in August 2014, Russia ignored new EU sanctions and invaded Ukraine.

Rewind the clocks, and 75 years earlier, something similar is happening in central Europe. Carefully, Germany is taking Europe in its grip, and for the time being, without even firing a machine gun. Fearful of provoking another war, Europe appeased Hitler in his demands to reunify the German people. With a little hindsight, it seemed unfair to blame Germany solely for the start of World War 1. And so what if Hitler wanted to rectify the disintegration of his country?
After the First World War, Germany was divided and parts of the country on the German-Czech border were given to Czechoslovakia. This area was called the Sudetenland.

And in what appeared to be a reasonable request, Hitler was given permission to take back parts of the Sudetenland that were predominantly inhabited with German-identifying people. But he didn’t stop there. Soon, Germany had taken over the whole of the Sudetenland, breaking international law. But, not wanting to rile Hitler, the Allies just stood and watched. It wasn’t until Germany marched into Czechoslovakia that the Allies realized they had made a terrible mistake.
And that’s exactly what’s happening today in Ukraine.

Russia’s annexation of the Crimea led to an outright invasion of the rest of Ukraine. Despite a ceasefire agreed in Minsk in September 2014, Russia marched on. And like the Allies in 1938, the West did nothing. Britain, Germany, and the USA have ruled out using force to stop Russia taking over the Ukraine, this time fearing a nuclear war. In the meantime, Russia is getting stronger and stronger, just as Nazi Germany did.

Polish Statesman Lech Walesa was responsible for helping end the Cold War. He believes that Putin’s involvement in Ukraine could result in the death of tens of millions. In his own words, ‘How can we win, if he is boxing, and we are playing chess?’. If we leave it too late, could we have another Third Reich on our hands?

Putin has announced that by 2020, his country will claim military superiority over the West. The Russian military modernization project is well under way, which plans to put Russia at the forefront of modern warfare technology. Military officials from the global security foundation, Ploughshares, have reported that already Russia possesses 8500 nuclear warheads – that’s 1000 more than the United States.
In February 2015, Russian spies were caught on American soil, and two Russian bomber aircrafts were spotted flying over the English channel.

Alarmingly, news broke in March 2015 that if the West had got militarily involved with the annexation of the Crimean peninsula, then Russia was prepared to take nuclear action. Putin’s words are not empty threats; one false move and we could all be in danger.

Paranoia, military tension and fear-mongering – the Russian federation may be engineering the perfect environment to initiate a Third World War.

Not a stickler for accuracy at all, Mr. Poster.
Just the usual western WAR MONGER with a Post FILLED WITH LIES about Russia!

I am an investor, World wide.
Here are the FACTS about Russia, NOW!

      1. Russia has a flat rate of tax on personal income of just 13%. This compares with top rates of personal income tax of 45% in Australia, China, Germany and the UK, amongst others. The USA is slightly lower, at 39.6%, but that excludes state and local income taxes which can add a lot (Californians pay over 50% top rate). Chances are you pay more tax than the average Russian.

      2. Contrary to popular belief, the oil and gas sector is not “half” the economy, or some other huge amount that’s typically quoted in the media. In fact it’s share is just 16%, having fallen sharply over the past 15 years as other sectors have grown much more rapidly (World Bank figures).
It is commonly stated that “over half” of Russian state revenues are derived from the oil and gas business, the theory being that Russia goes bust if the oil price falls. The reality? In 2013 only 27% of revenues were from this source, according to Jon Hellewig at Awara Group (Russia analysts). The largest contributor, at 29%, came from payroll taxes, despite the low flat tax (see above).

Russia doesn’t have a stagnant and failing economy. Okay, this year it will have a recession brought about by Western sanctions and the sharp fall in commodity prices. But between 2000 and 2012 the economy grew tenfold, measured in US dollars.

The Russian stock market has been a great place to invest. Since its launch at the end of 1994 the MSCI Russia index is up 516% (in US dollars), compared with a gain of 355% for the MSCI USA index over the same period. This is despite Russian stocks currently trading at incredibly depressed levels, and US stocks trading in bubble territory, yet again (see here for more).
Despite what NATO warmongers claim, Putin is not seeking to rebuild the Soviet Union. (NATO is a Cold War relic in desperate search of a purpose.) Russian actions in Ukraine, following the Western backed coup in Kiev, were simply defensive moves against an expansionary NATO. Putin is on the record as saying “He who did not mourn the passing of the Soviet Union had no heart, but anyone who tried to re-establish it had no head.” Substitute Putin for ex-UK prime minister Winston Churchill, and “Soviet Union” with “British Empire” and this makes sense. (Note for those of a sensitive disposition: I’m not trying to justify either the Soviet Union or the British Empire. I’m just saying neither is likely to reappear.)
US president Barack Obama recently said: “Russia doesn’t make anything. Immigrants aren’t flooding to Moscow in search of opportunity. The population is shrinking.” He was wrong on not one, not two, but all three counts. So…either the US emperor has terrible advisors…or he was deliberately lying…or both (either way it’s worrying). In fact, Russian industrial production grew 60% from 2000 to 2012 according to the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE). Russian exports, excluding oil and gas, increased 250% over the same period and food production was up 100% (Rosstat). Russia had a trade surplus of US$40 billion in the first quarter of this year, meaning the country exported a lot more than it imported (despite sanctions).
What about immigration? Well, according to the UN, Russia has the second highest immigrant population in the world, standing at 11 million in 2013. That’s a lot less than the USA’s 46 million, but more than Germany’s 10 million, the United Kingdom’s 8 million or France’s 7 million. Wrong again, Obama.
The US president also struggled with his knowledge of Russian demographics in general. It’s a myth these days that the population is shrinking, as men drink themselves into an early, vodka soaked grave and children die young.
The Russian population was 144 million in 2014 after growing 275,000 that year. That’s only a modest increase, but it’s still not a decline. Male life expectancy, while still low at 66 years, has increased by 8 years since 1999. Infant mortality rates are down by two thirds as healthcare has improved. That’s real progress, even if there is much more to do.
The total tax take as a percentage of Russian GDP was just under 30% in 2013. That’s a bit above the USA’s 25%, but well below France’s 44%, Germany’s 37% and the UK’s 36%, let alone high tax Scandinavian countries (think mid-50s). (Source: Awara Group)
There are no massive “capital outflows” from Russia, despite what is often reported. In fact the flows represent Russian companies paying off foreign debts. Since Russian companies can no longer trust foreign sources of finance this makes sense.
Russian government debt is just 13.4% of GDP.
This extremely low level, which points to the strength of Russian state finances, is something that most developed countries can only dream of achieving…in about a hundred years (or after massive debt defaults or hyperinflations). Despite regular scare stories to the contrary, a repeat of the 1998 Russian debt default is not imminent.
Few people in Western countries understand the crucial role that the Soviet Union played in crushing the Nazis during World War II. Yet none other than British wartime prime minister Winston Churchill said that “It was the Red Army that tore the guts out of the Wehrmacht.”, meaning the combined German armed forces. Including civilian casualties it’s estimated that 22 to 28 million Russians died during that horrific war. That’s many more than any other country, and 16 to 20 times the combined 1.4 million casualties of France, the USA and UK. This huge sacrifice should be remembered.
Putin is not a new “Hitler”. Russia’s role fighting the Nazis means it should be baffling to all, and is deeply offensive to Russians, when people compare Putin to the most vicious vegetarian to ever walk the Earth. Anyone that says things along those lines is no more than a poor comedian with bad taste. Unfortunately it’s a long list of jokers, which includes Prince Charles, future British head of state (when he’s not talking to plants), former US foreign minister and Democratic US presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton (when she isn’t sending secret emails), Republican US senator John McCain (er, when he isn’t cooking frozen french fries?), and German finance minister Wolfgang Schauble (when the Greeks aren’t asking the Germans for hundreds of billions of euros to make up for what the real Nazis did).
As recently as 2012 Vladimir Putin set a goal to increase the country’s ranking in the World Bank’s ease of doing business survey to 20th by 2018. From a starting point of 112th at the time Russia leapt to 63rd by 2014. It’s a remarkable achievement in a short time.
Obama also said of Russia recently “It is America that stands strong and united with our allies, while Russia is isolated, with its economy in tatters.” We’re supposed to believe everyone hates Russia. Yet again it’s completely false. The government of China describes Russia as an “irreplaceable strategic ally”. And ahead of a recent visit by Mr. Putin to India an official Indian government press release said “Every Indian child knows that India has no greater friend than Russia.” With just those two governments on Russia’s side, which represent 37% of the world population, Russia can hardly be described as “isolated”. By comparison, the combined populations of the USA and its main allies in the European Union and Japan make up 13% of the world population. Just saying.
Russia and its leaders are not perfect. Far from it. But a huge amount has been achieved in the past 15 years, after the initial chaos in the 90s that followed the collapse of the Soviet Union.
If you dig just a little deeper than the consistently negative headlines then the Russian reality may surprise you.

This post sounds like its coming straight from the US State Dept. trolling office! What a joke!

No sane person want war on the own territories, which is why the US didn’t have war at home for a very long time, as well as UK had a very little of WWII. Now abroad, that’s another issue. Assume this is how all top politicians think, except mind controlled and/or drugged foreign asset agents like Lenin, Hitler, Stalin…types who were trained in/by the British just as an example & unloyal to the ‘own’ country. Definition of ‘own’ country is tricky, when one was born from multicultural parents, which many people have nowadays in West-Europe, or second generation born & got an idendity crise where do they belong to. Returning to the subject of if Mr. Putin is starting a war, one just don’t know. We must ask the Pope, surely he knows the exact plans. Would be great if someone from Rome (who is watching) would give straight answers on this ‘before its news’ site, please – for clarity.

At the time when the final phase of the Conference on Security and Cooperation in Europe (CSCE) was sat in Helsinki, Finland in 1975, I understood that the purpose of the USSR orchestrated conference was to petrify the dominative position of the USSR in Europe long into the future or maybe for ever. It seemed to be a general opinion around me among the people that were willing to say something about the future of the USSR, that it would be there for ever. The other people said nothing. It was a time of “Finlandisierung”, a word that hurt me and many other people in Finland. Shut up or speak smoothly!

I was concerned because the “religion” of the USSR was the communism based on the “dialectical materialism”, I was a Christian believer and the “Finlandisierung” was advancing. However, my defense weapon was the prayer. I prayed to God and asked anxiously what was His plan and what would happen to the USSR. Next night, I saw a peculiar dream.

In my dream, a group of acrobats had come to perform on the marketplace of the little city where I lived. The acrobats built a stubbed pyramid with elements that were like big bones with a color of the blued steel. A pair of two largest “bones” were put on the ground first, from a certain distance away from each other. Then the second pair of “bones”, shorter ones, were put on the first pair right-angled near their ends. Layer by layer, the building went on until the “bone-pyramid” was ready. On the top of the stubbed pyramid the artists installed a stage. I cannot remember what kind of couplings were used but I suppose, that was not important in the dream.

There was a reasonable number of audience present, me included. A curious person as I am, I went close to the pyramid and knocked the “bones” with my knuckles. Surprisingly, I noticed that the “bones” were not made of steel although they looked like that but their material was thin plastic, with plastic balls on their ends. Was the material strong enough?

The acrobat-artists started their performance but the presentation had not lasted long when something startling happened. Suddenly, the pyramid started to collapse, the “bones” breaking one after another. Within a couple of seconds, the entire pyramid was a pile of rubble (compare with the Ruble), the con-artists, which they were, striving among the debris.

The event caused a strong, dual emotional burst among the audience. One part began to cry aloud and the rest of the audience burst into a convulsive laughter. All people that saw what happened, seemed to understand the symbolic meaning of the crash. I was among those that laughed and woke up, still laughing so that my bed shook. The message of the dream was clear: The USSR would collapse soon with a big crash, which also took place although such an idea seemed impossible at that time, on the contrary. Later, I learned that really, an acrobat group from the USSR was about to visit the city where I lived, but the visit was cancelled.

Later on when Boris Nikolayevich Yeltsin won the power struggle after the collapse of the USSR and Russia was brought to life again by him, I honored him as a hero and inevitably, such he looked like in spite of his alcoholism. What he later did in Chechênia, caused me to think a lot of otherwise, but before that phase, I had another awesome dream. I had prayed to God and asked what will happen to Russia. The next night I got the answer in a dream.

In the dream, I was hovering above the Black Sea at an altitude where the lowest satellites are circling the globe, facing Russia. There I saw a tremendous giant that looked like a traditional Russian man in old movies, facing south. The top of the head of the giant reached the altitude of the lowest satellites also. He was only standing there, passively. He may have been planning his next move but my dream did not reveal his thoughts. The initiation simply did not be at his side.

Then something began to take place. From the south west, where Ukraine is located, came a group of attackers, running fast. They had all kinds of hacking, cutting and sticking weapons in their hands and they began to hack, cut and stick the closer or the right or the western leg of the giant. The attackers reached only the knees of the giant but they were very furious and persistent. Eventually, they succeeded to break the leg and the giant began to fall, first slowly but then faster towards the south west direction. I was stunned, not understanding what I saw and how such a future could develop. At the time of my dream, the Caucasus region in the south east with Chechênia as the centrum, was restless but not the south west, seeing from the view point of the giant. When the giant had fallen half way to the ground, I concluded that he could not survive anymore, and the dream was closed.

Now July 3rd 2015, the attackers are busy doing what I saw them to do in my dream, although their weapons are modern. The giant thinks that one party of the attackers are on his side, doing job for him, and is passive but the situation is deceptive. Both warring parties are crumbling the western leg of the giant. On one hand, the moral of the people that see the piling dead bodies is deteriorating and the regime of the giant is caught on lying in more and more issues, losing their plausibility but trying to suppress the opposition by killing their leaders, arousing growing mutiny. On the other hand, the world sympathy is turning gradually to the side of the smaller nation that is considered to fight for her life. In a real situation, who is willing to help a giant? Let the giants fall as they always have done! They are not eternal. The world history is full of them.

Besides, Russia is fulfilling a certain time frame that I found between those two dreams. It means that the mighty gentile powers and persons of this world are given a time each that is based on the Biblical jubilee period of 7×7 years or 49 years, given by God. Only to the descendants of Jacob is given the extra jubilee year after every jubilee year period. The USSR existed for 73.5 years or 1.5×49 years. (Also Nostradamus mentioned that time period.) I am pretty sure that the new risen Russia will exist only 49/2 = 24.5 years. That time will be fulfilled in March next year 2016. If not, my conclusion is incorrect or God has decided to give more time of grace to Russia. It would be better for them to use their time in a righteous way, not by planning new wars and building new WMD’s. This of course, concerns all the powers of this world. Read my earlier article about this subject, /prophecy/2011/08/god-reigns-and-sets-the-times-1010345.html
