TASS reports More than 10 warships, boats and supply vessels of Russia’s Baltic Fleet have put to sea for exercises that will include artillery and torpedo firing drills, Baltic Fleet spokesman Vladimir Matveyev said on Monday.

More than 10 Russian Baltic Fleet ships put to sea for exercises
KALININGRAD, April 25. /TASS/. More than 10 warships, boats and supply vessels of Russia’s Baltic Fleet have put to sea for exercises that will include artillery and torpedo firing drills, Baltic Fleet spokesman Vladimir Matveyev said on Monday.
“During several days the ships’ crews will conduct at sea ranges artillery and torpedo firing drills aiming at sea, air and shore targets; the forces’ combat readiness in anti-submarine warfare and air defense actions will be checked”, he said.
The minesweepers and small anti-submarine ships will drill missions to protect and defend a water area. The fleet’s anti-submarine naval aviation will be also involved in the drills. An amphibious assault beach landing operation will be drilled at the fleet’s Khmelevka range with the task to establish a bridgehead on the imaginary enemy’s shore. SOURCE

Putting the fleet to sea for an exercise may be a useful excuse to hide the fact there is a possibility the US may plan a Pearl Harbour moment and sink the fleet tied-up at harbour. The US is bad news and such a move cannot simply be dismissed; the possibility has to be countered.
All communist have copied or stolen our technology. So any communist nation is 2nd rate military at best, but because it is OUR technology they do represent a clear and present danger.
Copying and stealing technology is a national security issue, if some silly bugger state REFUSES to do so out of some pressure groups control its technology becomes outdated and it finds itself being a target of a superior military.
