The US Government Says Iran Only 6 Months Away From Having A Nuke, For 10 Years Running

The claim by the Obama Administration that Iran could have a nuclear bomb in 6 months is ridiculous and apparently has no basis since the rhetoric about Iran and its nuclear program has been going on since 2002.

Beginning with the George W. Bush Evil Axis speech over 10 years ago, Iran has been a focal point of a US threat of military action based on supposedly official intelligence reports saying they are only from 6 months to 3 years away from acquiring nuclear bomb capability.

Bush made speech after speech during his 8 years in office, trying to build a case for a strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities by stating that they were only a few months away, to some 3 years from having a nuke.

The same has been going on with the Obama Administration. The only thing is the timeline for Iran to acquire a nuke has remained the same for both Administrations, even though more than a decade has passed between them.

The bottom line here is the American people are being lied to, to justify war with Iran. Since according to both Bush and Obama Iran is only some 6 months away from having a nuke, we must understand that this is purely propaganda used solely for the purpose of having a green light to invade Iran at any given time.

Neither Administration seems to be able to get their facts together on a concrete time line as to exactly when Iran will have nuke. This is because the Iranian nuclear threat in reality simply doesn’t exist and never has. It doesn’t exist as the assumption by the Bush Administration of Iraq having weapons of mass destruction did not either.

The real reason then Secretary of State Colin Powell resigned shortly after his UN presentation in 2003 to prove Iraq had weapons of mass destruction was his disdain of the Bush Administration’s trumped up lies they wanted him to present as a basis for war. Powell was ashamed to lie to world leaders to fool them into going along with an agenda.

Powell’s speech was delivered on February 5, 2003, making the case for the war by presenting U.S. intelligence that purported to prove that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction. The information in Powell’s presentation initially came from a document he described as “sort of a Chinese menu” that was provided by the White House.

Powell came through the door and had in his hands a sheaf of papers, and he said, “This is what I’ve got to present at the United Nations according to the White House? It was anything but an intelligence document. It was, as some people characterized it later, sort of a Chinese menu from which you could pick and choose.”

Powell adviser Col. Lawrence Wilkerson and Powell spent four days and nights in a CIA conference room with then-Director George Tenet and other top officials trying to ensure the accuracy of the presentation, Wilkerson says.

“There was no way the Secretary of State was going to read off a script about serious matters of intelligence that could lead to war when the script was basically un-sourced,” Wilkerson says.

In one dramatic accusation in his speech, Powell showed slides alleging that Saddam had bio weapons labs mounted on trucks that would be almost impossible to find.

“In fact, Secretary Powell was not told that one of the sources he was given as a source of this information had indeed been flagged by the Defense Intelligence Agency as a liar, a fabricator,” says David Kay, who served as the CIA’s chief weapons inspector in Iraq after the fall of Saddam. That source, an Iraqi defector who had never been debriefed by the CIA, was known within the intelligence community as ‘Curve ball.’

Just as with the case for war with Iraq the case for war against Iran is also fabrication, having no basis.

It is time we wake up and realize that the US government has been working on an agenda to take over mostly oil producing countries in the Mid-East and has been using various forms of threats from these countries to convince us to go to war.

The constant state of war is also an excuse to keep the US under a Socialist rule where the Constitution has been discarded and replaced with a Dictatorial Ruler.
