Why Terrorism Is A Winning Strategy

I will keep this article succinct.  Government is a criminal racket that makes its money off of offering protection (a protection racket), engaging in the criminal enterprise (war and fraud) while using violence to maintain its monopoly power over almost human activity.  It taxes and regulates everything from births, to marriage, to funerals.  Our government taxes and regulates contracts, labor, death, driving, travel, sex, hair cuts, education, food, alcohol, cigarettes, water, using a toilet, television, radio, internet, insurance, medicine, electricity, gasoline, homebuilding, boating, fishing, hunting, buying, selling and the list goes on and on. 

The government lies about everything as its usurps citizens rights through grotesque and perverted interpretations of law so outside of what is easily understood that it shocks the conscience.  People are amazed that they can be told such nonsense by a straight-faced government as it seeks to criminalize even acts that people undertake to try to keep the government out of their lives as it spies on peoples’ emails, letters, cell phones, home phones, banking, reading habits, friends and travel.

Rights are taken from people by government as the government claims they must be surrendered for the government to protect the people.  Money is then extorted from taxpayers to wage war and governmental terror to control natural resources and to dominate politically, economically and militarily on a global scale.  It is this domination by the U.S. government that allows it to carry out its global criminal rackets that benefit the very few at the expense of the very many.  The government then claims these expenses as necessary for protection of its subjects.  But, terrorists are now demonstrating to governments that they can not achieve a monopoly on the use of violence and that terrorists do not have to defeat the government’s forces.  All the terrorists need to demonstrate is that the government can not protect its subjects no matter how much money it extorts as part of its monopolized protection racket.  Terrorists on an increasingly growing scale will prove that the protection racket the government seeks to maintain to shelter its subjects from retaliation and retribution for its global crime sprees will eventually drive citizens to slavery, destitution and constant war in service to the global criminal syndicate and the elite who control it.

Terrorists have given up fighting or even attacking the military.  They have even gone outside of attacking just the government.  Terrorists now seek to show people that the government cannot protect its subjects from the consequences, retribution, revenge and punishment resulting from the criminal acts of that government.  The government thought it could wage war against its opponents as a demonstration to its people that it can protect them even as it carries out its criminal activities and global crime spree, but the recent attacks by terrorists and their success in creating carnage prove otherwise. 

When the U.S waged war against Iraq it wanted to show that even though Iraq had no army, navy or air force to attack, it could and would slaughter civilians by the thousands in operations like the Fallujah cordon.  In the Fallujah operation the U.S. Army surrounded the city and then allowed the women and children to leave while penning in all males at gun point.  It then proceeded to attack and slaughter all males between the ages of 12 to 60 that it had penned in.  It is crimes like these that cause soldiers to kill themselves in greater numbers than died in combat.  The U.S. got away with this crime but now we see a civil war in Iraq in which a thousand people die every month as violence continues to spiral out of control and Americans suicides that exceed the battle losses during the war.

The people and their governments are getting an abject lesson that demonstrates government crimes have consequences, that the government can not shelter its people from the consequences of its crimes and a government that seeks to do so can only marginally protect its citizens by making them slaves without any rights or liberty as it extorts greater and greater sums of wealth.  The operational strategy of terrorists groups is to attack “soft targets” with such ferocity that it makes shopping malls and college dormitories military targets of civilian attrition.  Terrorists seek to make these targets mass casualty targets of opportunity.  Terrorists seek to kill as many people as possible so that the government will be forced to sink to even greater levels of tyranny, extortion and war thereby alienating its subjects as it generates even more foreign enemies.  As the government creates more enemies, it demonstrates to the person that that it is impotent to stop the terrorist attacks by those it wages war against in its attempts to dominate.

The government that seeks to protect everything protects nothing.  Government does not have the resources to recruit the entire country to be security guards to protect every store, company, school, building, sporting event, facility and gathering.  Such a government would have 100% employment for the country as it ceased to produce anything of value.  To have a functioning economy a country can afford to pay no more than 10% of the population to be government leaches, but the government would have to hire much than that to protect everything.  As the costs and abuses of this population inflict their toll on producers, they will soon become the enemy of those they claim to seek to protect.  This is the worst-case scenario for government.

The worst-case scenario for government is when people realize that the problems government seeks to protect its people from are of the government’s own making and a result of its criminal activity.  Moreover, not only are the problems the cause of government, but the government does not even have the ability to protect the people from the enemies it has created as it seeks to create even more enemies and wage more war.  Lastly, when people realize that such a government seeks to maintain war because its elites profits from them, only then will people finally demand leaders who will end the criminality the occurs under the guise of government and security.

The U.S. government has taught terrorists well.  From its attack and slaughter on Fallujah, to its targeted bombings of funerals and weddings, to its assassination programs and mass slaughter of civilians that amount to little more than government sanctioned and perpetrated terror attacks, we now see those same type of tactics used by government are being waged against it.  We can now clearly see the government is a criminal racket that cannot protect us from the consequences of its crimes.  We can see that the U.S. government would rather have Americans be slaves and die in service to the elite than to end their global crime spree.  Such a government must fall before it has the opportunity to bring the greatest possible misery to everyone.  Such a fall will only occur if Americans vote for the Libertarian Party.

So, it seems terrorists offer people a better choice than government.  When people realize that governments seek domination at any expense while terrorists offer peace if only the government cease and desist its criminality will they also realize that even terrorists have greater legitimacy and more to offer than do criminal governments. Then, the terrorists will have won, and rightly so.  Government is a criminal racket and merely attempts to legitimize its terror by getting the population to buy into what Hans Hermann Hoppe calls its “Hobbsian myth”.  Liberty can only be obtained by people rising above this myth and seeing the absurdity for what it truly is.  

Since politicians are more interested in ruling over people than in providing true security, we will eventually see politicians bending to the will of the citizenry who have been educated by terrorists on the true nature of government.  This is the worst-case scenario for government -that being the people finally demanding peace and an end to government extortion, fraud, tyranny and war.
