DAMASCUS, SYRIA 02/11/2016 (1:35 P.M.) – The Iraqi Armed Forces continued their large-scale offensive against the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) on Wednesday, liberating more territory near the strategic city of Mosul. According to the official media wing of the Popular Mobilization Units (Hashd Al-Sha’Abu), their forces and the Iraqi Army liberated the villages of Khabirat and Al-Alzim near the key town or Tal Al-Seif Al-Ithari in western Mosul.
Since the PMU launched their offensive in western Mosul, their forces have managed to liberate more than 50km of territory from the Islamic State terrorists, leaving them within striking distance of the city. While the Iraqi forces advance on Mosul, the Turkish regime continues to issue threats towards Baghdad, promising to attack if they are provoked. The Iraqi government has warned the Turkish regime that they will not hesitate to defend their land, should the latter’s armed forces push for war.
