Munich: Biggest Power Outage in 20 Years

Will more outages from extreme weather or solar flares sweep the globe?

GERMANY — The largest power outage in 20 years affected nearly a half million customers in Munich today as elevators and subways were halted for at least 10 minutes according to reports.

All the traffic lights in the city were out as people locally described the scene as “total chaos”.

According to CONUS sources of mine within the nuclear industry, massive solar flares have recently been tripping main turbine breakers in several reactor facilities in the US. It is not being disclosed to the public that solar flares are the apparent cause.

NASA has also warned of impending solar flares in 2012. In fact an episode of Jessie Ventura’s Conspiracy Theory covers this in detail.

It was reported by Bloomberg that,”Stadtwerke Muenchen GmbH is investigating the cause of the outage that spread across Munich’s southwest, starting at 7 a.m., the utility said today in an e-mailed statement. The outage lasted from 10 minutes in some parts to more than three hours in the Aubing district, disrupting commutes in the city that is home to Siemens AG (SIE) and Bayerische Motoren Werke AG (BMW), and causing an explosion at a transformer station in the Bogenhausen district.”
