Tornadoes Hitting TX Panhandle--Travel Not Recommended For SR 214 South Of I 40
Tornado Warning for S. Oldham and N. Deaf Smith counties until 10 PM. This storm has a history of producing tornadoes. The strongest rotation was located 9 miles west of Simms or 27 miles southwest of Vega. This storm is moving northeast at 20 MPH. Officially, Gruhlkey and Adrian are in the warning. No travel is advised on Highway 214 south of Interstate 40. David Drummond reported a cone tornado with this storm 15 minutes ago.

STORM WAS LOCATED 9 MILES WEST OF SIMMS…OR 27 MILES SOUTHWEST OF
VEGA. DOPPLER RADAR SHOWED THIS SEVERE STORM MOVING NORTHEAST AT 20
