Daily BIN Weather Report looks pretty low risk as an average across the nation.

Scattered showers/thunderstorms for Central/Southern California looks likely as monsoonal moisture surges inward.  Already lightning strikes were detected in the deserts, with some strikes also detected offshore San Diego, near Catalina Island this morning.

Sct. Showers and thunderstorms remain likely for the Southeastern USA, stretching up the Mid-Atlantic through New York.

The main concentrated activity will be supercells capable of large hail/damaging winds in parts of New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, and Kansas through the evening.  The image embedded in this article clearly shows those areas as the big red spots in the Western Plains.
