A storm originating out of the Gulf of Alaska will drop down into the region on Saturday, delivering snowfall into the Interior Pacific Northwest, targeting Spokane, Washington as well with heavy snowfall.  Continue reading on for the details about this storm.

A storm system originating out of the Gulf of Alaska will drop down on Saturday morning across the Western OR/WA areas, bringing in heavy rainfall for those regions.  Rain is expected to turn to snowfall across Eastern OR/WA by at least noon and heavy snowfall would start falling across areas in the Spokane, Washington forecast zones.  Do feel Spokane has the very good chance at seeing well over 4-6″ of snowfall from this single storm system, which would cripple travel on the roadways.

Heavy snowfall amounts will also hit parts of ID/MT, the heaviest snowfall will center the Coeur d’Alene forecast zones, across the ID Panhandle.  Travel on the interstates will be halted in all mountain pass locations.  If traveling, make sure you wait till the storm is over.

Ice is possible (glaze factor) for areas in the Kennewick, WA forecast zones.

The storm will move out later on Sunday -

Storms of any significance are being blocked from coming into the west coast! Watch the moisture move directly north before they get to the coast. Something is definitely not right with the weather.
