Latest Blizzard Snowfall Prediction Map 2 to 3 feet From Central Long Island All The Way Up To Southern New Hamshire, Snow Drifts Up To 10 Feet In Height , Roofs May Collapse, Extended Power Outages

 The hardest hit areas by this Blizzard can expect 2 to 3 feet of snow and snow drifts in excess of 5 to 8 feet, up 10 ft. in the Boston area, where roofs could collapse from the weight of excessive snow.

What concerns me is, not only the possibility of roofs collapsing, they are also calling for prolonged power outages. With the cold temps expected and the destructive winds will rapidly cool homes, once the heating source is cut off by a power outage.

Accuweather is stating that Motorists traveling at the height of the storm run the risk of becoming stranded as roads rapidly become clogged and snow-packed and the dangerously low visibility.

“Anyone stranded will face life-threatening conditions unless they have an emergency survival kit. Rescuers may not be able to reach them,” stated AccuWeather.com Chief Meteorologist Elliot Abrams.

Hot off the press, A state of Emergency has been declared in NY, NJ, CT as Potentially Historic Blizzard Bears Down on Tri-State. The Major is saying this could be the largest blizzard in New York City history!

I’m ready! I picked up nearly 30 of the smaller propane bottles and a lager barbeque tank and the adapter for my heater buddy, in case the power goes out. Think alternative heating methods before it’s to late, it’s no fun freezing, waiting for them to get the power back on.The more outages there are, the longer it could take for your power to be restored if you lose it. God forbid power is out long enough, it could even become life threatening? If you have the tea candles and a couple of flower pots, you could get some heat into a small room to avoid freezing.

Another thing to remember is, to keep snow away from entry doors, you don’t want to let time go by to find out you have a 6 foot snowdrift blocking you in.
