Dallas, TX: Tornado Leaves Devastation One Day After Christmas

Imagine that it’s the day after Christmas and you’re home is finally settling down from all of the friends and family that came to celebrate the holidays. Imagine after all the food is put away and calls are made to ensure that everyone arrived to their destination, you’re house and car are snatched right up off of the ground in the blink of an eye. That’s what has happened in Garland, TX tonight. Rescue and Law Enforcement Officials are spread thin all throughout this Dallas suburb trying to save anyone that might need rescuing and to keep order amongst all the chaos. 

Interestingly, the tornado touched down killing 5 near an intersection named after a former United States President: 

“Five deaths occurred near the intersection of Interstate 30 and the President George Bush Turnpike in Garland, within a couple thousand feet of each other, Garland police spokesman Mike Hatfield said.” ~NBC-DFW 

After this incident there will be tons of speculation regarding how and if protocol was follow thoroughly. By all appearances at this very moment, I can honestly say that it seems that the city is right on top of this and they’ve called in every measure of reinforcement possible.

Residents are being asked to stay in their homes while first responders and try to get accurate accountability for everyone. Helicopters are combing the area looking for human heat signatures for anyone that may have been thrown into a nearby river. It absolutely seems as though every single option that can be used to save lives is certainly being employed by Dallas. Let’s pray for the victims in Paris. Let’s pray for the families that they’ve left behind. ~Sincere
