In regards to Planet X, Darling explained that such an event would result in the object being clearly visible in the sky both during the night and the day. Darling rejected the idea that Planet X could be hidden behind the Sun, as the Earth’s rotation would eventually reveal a planet. “The mechanics of the thing don’t really add up,” Darling added.
