Baby Burns In W. Va. Poison Crisis

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

A West Virginia baby’s skin is bright red after bathing in “safe” water on Thursday. White fingerprints showed on his skin from where his mother touched him. The 7-month-old’s burns appeared to be from poisoned tap water.

Allegedly, no provider at Charleston Women and Children’s Hospital would help her injured baby, the mother said, as reported by Business Insider’s Robert Johnson.

Medical Mistreatment

“The doctor totally ignored the reason I brought my son in there,” said Kim Elliot, who’d rushed her seven-month-old bright red baby to the ER last Thursday night after bathing him in possibly tainted tap water.

“No one would help me and the one nurse that did show compassion wanted nothing to do with me after getting pulled aside by her supervisor,” Elliot said. “It’s terrifying.”

Daily, the West Virginia crisis sounds more like early stages of BP’s Gulf of Mexico crime against humanity.

After only one week in Grand Isle, Louisiana, BP cleanup workers were ill with a mysterious disease, Toxicologist Riki Ott said.(1)

Gulf Coast victims consistently showed signs of a “mysterious” disease that locals called “Gulf Crud,” after the April 2010 Deepwater Horizon oilrig explosion. That’s when an ongoing chemical assault on upt to 40 million people there began, a chemical attack intensified with a multi-level corporate-government “Safe Gulf” myth coverup.

Ms. Elliot’s experience at the Charleston hospital is common among those who fall victim to petrochemical -military-industrial-complex crimes.

Gulf women and men were consistently medically mistreated: not properly tested, diagnosed or treated. Only a few physicians, who earned the title of Gulf Hero, such as Dr. Rodney Soto and Dr. Mike Robicheau, confirmed what the people reported about this coerced neglect.

Instead of medical treatment, people suffering from chemical exposure along the Gulf were offered a $50 gift certificate to be researched.

“I know many people are getting the same treatment,” former Gulf oil cleanup worker, Jennifer Rexford had told this reporter. “This isn’t about money anymore. I don’t want cancer.”

Mother of three sons, including a toddler, and former Gulf oil cleanup worker, Mrs. Jennifer Rexford, 29, told this author about her continual medical battle against what would seem to most, insurmountable challenges. Her rights to health, safe environment and compensation for work-related injuries were repeatedly violated. She’d become too sick to physically continue. Her voice was about all she had left. (Vampire of Macondo)

Gulf Coast people increasingly expressed intense fear about even talking to doctors and reporters. They feared doctors’ ridiculing them and diagnosing them mentally ill, as repeatedly happened when people sought medical care after they were poisoned,

They feared ruining their chance at claims by reporting what they saw and experienced.

Mainly, however, they feared retaliation from BP and government’s militarized mercenaries lurking along the Gulf coast. That fear was also justifiable. Independent professional Gulf advocates experienced gun shots through their home doors. Many key human rights workers and scientists involved in defending Gulf victims died untimely deaths. A Kanawha Valley doctor declined last week to speak to Deborah Dupré about the present water crisis and its victims. He did write the following message:

“Do I want to be interviewed about the son of a bitches that poisoned a quarter of the state’s water supplies?

Or about the water company that put their intake a mile below a tank farm that used to hold gasoline, that now (does not) hold even worse chemicals?

Or the state that said we notified as soon as we knew, then it seems to have come out that they were at least ten hours behind the game?

Or that the chemicals were from Freedom Industries that supply the carbon neutral coal industry?

Or that last I heard, we still do not know who owns Freedom Industries? ([M]akes me wonder who they are and who is covering for them).”

New Nalco Coverup

On the Gulf Coast, Jennifer Rexford said she knew many people literally battling to survive painful sores, breathing problems, brain-fog and other consequences of cruel and inhumane treatment by medical staff involved in the Gulf Operation and its coverup.

Oil “cleanup” workers (more like “coverup” workers) signed legal contracts agreeing to tell nobody about what happened to them on the Gulf beaches or what they saw there.

“Why were we told not to tell parents that their kids were playing in those tar balls and now they are coming up sick?” asked Ms. Rexford.

After the Gulf oil atrocity began, women and children bled from all orifices, similar to the dying and dead Gulf dolphins, just as Nalco’s dispersant Corexit is supposed to do, according to EPA whistleblower Hugh Kaufman. (2)

Nalco owns the chemical and the process Freedom Industries was using when the company’s tank leaked 7,500 US gallons of Crude MCHM ten days ago, on Jan. 9.

The chemical leak was upstream from the principal West Virginia American Water intake and treatment-distribution center. Nine counties, 100,000 homes and 300,000 people have been negatively impacted.

“I had to wake my daughter up from another nightmare again last night,” a mother at the Charleston Hospital told Business Insider. “She’s afraid of anything from the tap now and told me she’s never drinking anything but bottled water again.”

“You have to help us get word out,” another said. “No one here will lift a finger to help us.”

How many of us have to suffer before we rise up against the psychopaths running our society? Please, in each locale: victims run for office at all levels, as independents (no association with either of the corrupt parties). Pleae, community members support them and vote for them! Please, work together to develop community-based strategies to defeat the monsters. It can be done. Consider Occupy the Hollers to help you organize and develop your own strategies, not bring in inappropriate outside “wisdom”: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Occupy-The-Hollers/182517225183754

Victims: please set up volunteer detox clinics and groups to coordinate aid distribution. Don’t count on government or Red Cross. Make your presence known widely on radio, TV, newspapers, and sites like this so concerned citizens can donate needed supplies, money, transportation, and other assistance
Concerned citizens: Prepare to help. Travel to the affected area to help, but take plenty of bottled water, wear a respirator with filters rated for volatile organics, and take detox supplies.

I hope that baby’s mom got a good attorney. That picture, clearly shows, they really don’t care about the children in this country.
