Dashcam Footage: An Innocent Mentally Ill Man Beat By Cops for Riding His Bike (Video)
A mentally disabled Dearborn Michigan Muslim man claims police violated his civil rights and assaulted him. CAIR litigation jihadists announce plans to file lawsuit.
Ali Baydoun is a mentally challanged man, who’s bicycle chain fell off his bike, while he was putting his chain back on his bike a man dressed in a black uniform walks up and begins to question Ali, confused, Ali does not respond. Then the action begins.
The disturbing fact is that Ali Baydoun was involved in ZERO criminal activity, he was not a threat to anyone, and the only thing he did wrong was cross paths with a cop.
Attorneys for Baydoun, have filed a Civil Rights Complaint against the Dearborn Police Department and plan to follow it up with a federal lawsuit alleging excessive force, false arrest and assault and battery.
Dearborn Police Chief Ron Haddad, told 7 Action News that an internal review of this case found no excessive force and officers used proper procedures including an officer using his knee to subdue the man while he was on the ground and being held by other officers.

Imagine this scenario: You are riding your bike home when your chain comes off. So you pull over to try and get the chain back on.
All of the sudden a man dressed in black, carrying a gun, who you cannot understand, walks up to you and begins to interrogate you.
You may or may not have an ID on you, and you may or may not know that he is even asking for your id.
The next thing you know, this man in black with a gun, becomes physically aggressive towards you, grabs you by the neck, throws you to the ground, and begins beating you.
Then another man dressed in black with a gun shows up, and begins physically assaulting you as well.
Now, imagine having a diminished mental capacity and unable to process the entire situation as quickly as someone that is not mentally challenged.
Would you immediately lay still and let these two men in black with guns, do whatever they want to you? Or would you resist?

Unless he is committing a crime the police have no reason to stop, ask for ID or anything else for that matter. If the officer thought he was going to commit a crime he could have simply backed off and watched the citizen to see what he is doing. If said citizen fixed his bicycle and drove home that would have been the end of it.
Let’s get to the real reason why this incident occurred. It is not racism, it is has nothing to do with probable cause or suspicion. It is for one simple reason. That is that the citizen did not immediately comply with the officer’s demands. In this case communicate or show ID. It is obvious that the man was terrified and when the officer tried to “pat him down” the man took this as an attack. Since the officer had no probable cause in the first place to stop the citizen then his request for and ID is null and void and the pat down a civil rights violation. The first officer on the scene should be fired immediately followed by criminal charges. He of all people should know the law. This had nothing to do with the law and everything to do with the officer being slighted because the citizen did not immediately comply with the officer’s illegal demand. The second officer had no idea what was happening other than finding one of his fellow officers struggling with someone in the middle of the street. He should be given a warning and a refresher course on the constitution. Matter of fact it should be a prerequisite that all police officers, prior to being sworn in must read and memorize the constitution of the United States. Police departments all over the country have traded in the old slogan To Protect & Serve to Comply or Die.
I don’t care who you are, where you come from, what color you are, or anything about education, IQ or mental capacity. What in the world gives a “peace” officer the right to ask for “papers” or physically pat you down without any probable cause?
What has society come to? This is a sad state of affairs and all too common for our criminal justice system today. All I can say is the main cop should lose his job after publicly apologizing to this citizen. These type of instances are setting the stage for some serious civil unrest, and it’s right around the corner because the dollar is getting choked out. Hopefully many of these civil servants will see the light of day and get back to the “protect and serve” mentality rather than the police-state evolution. May God help us all.
Intellectually, I’d have to conclude that the aggressors and the victim were evenly matched!
What kind of a troubled mind does it require to qualify for a position in law enforcement? There must be a (negative) threshold.
This was obviously a disastrous misunderstanding. To try to find fault with this incident would be pretty hard. First, the young man should have been on the sidewalk to put his chain back on the bicycle, and second and perhaps most importantly he should have had an identification and it should have had an explanation of his mental disorder. The police officer went about the stop all wrong. In America a man is innocent until proven guilty, there was absolutely no reason for the policeman to even touch the young man until he at least asked him if he was carrying any kind of a weapon on him. Then he should have asked him if he had any religious beliefs he may be unaware of. This is a very important point. To have a strange man feel your body up one side and down the other while in public probably triggered some fearful impressions in the mind of this young man. The officer should have realized he had a special situation here and it’s a good thing he called for backup and it arrived in time. They probably saved this young man’s life. The police force needs to train their officers about situations like this and this should never happen again.
ALL these dirty cops have it coming to them bad. get there names and return the favor ten fold. bastards!!!
