John Lamb gives us a lunchtime look at the supporters standing at Patriot Corner in Portland waiting for news on a verdict in the Bundy and P3s trial. Still feeding the homeless, more food continues to be donated.  Over the last two days hundreds of hamburgers and hot dogs, with chips and a drink, have been given away.

Most people don’t realize that since this is directly across the street from the jail, there is a continual stream of people getting OUT of jail. At all times of the day and night. The large majority of the ones I saw being released were definitely in need of some assistance, or at least a decent meal.  We know that when Shawna Cox was released from the jail here, with no phone, no money or cards, in the middle of the night in a city in which she had never been; Shawna needed help.  A stranger gave her a $50 cash card and that was how she was able to contact her family to let them know she had been released and make arrangements for her to get picked up.  And money she could use for food.

They call our people “Poots” in Portland. They make fun of us and our “snacks.” Anyone who reads the comments sections in the Oregonian or OPB know that to be true.  They should be ashamed. It is obvious they have no clue what good decent Americans are truly all about.

I digress… something good has happened, the jury has come back with questions. At this writing they are in court processing those questions. They have allowed court observers so Ammon’s wife Lisa, and Ryan’s wife, Angie; are in court.

Also, Judge Brown has sentenced Brian “Booda” Cavalier to time served with 3 years supervision; after he had pled guilty to fed conspiracy, possession guns. He will be transported to Nevada to await trial there for the Bundy Stand Up in 2014.

Kelli Stewart and John Lamb now give us after court updates on the Malheur Occupiers trial in Portland, Oregon.

One adjective that can frequently be used throughout this trial is unsual. Today, one juror accused another juror of bias. It resulted in a basic halt in the process while the Judge interviewed the suspect juror. I’ll let these two fill in on that.

Jason Patrick has filed a motion to reduce the severity of the conditions of his pre-trial release. I did not know he was subject to ongoing drug and alcohol testing until I was there.  He couldn’t even have a beer with us after a trying day at court, or to celebrate a small victory. Hopefully, the Judge will decide to lighten up a bit so he can go help out in Louisiana, as he wishes, and visit his children. It’s just sad that these are how “presumed innocent” people are treated in this case. Very sad.

As the supporters of the Bundy’s and the P3s patiently wait in the Portland, Oregon rain, spirits are high and generosity is abundant. The fellowship on Patriot Corner continues as the supporters offer free foods and drink to the local homeless.

NOT GUILTY! The Not Guilty! at the end is to represent the buttons I made for the supporters in Portland. You may see one now and then. Shawna Cox tried to wear hers into court, telling them that it was her plea…they made her take it off.  Ken Medenbach wore his into court too, and the Prosecution objected and he had to take it off.  Jeff Banta said they sounded really whiney about it. LOL Next batch goes to Nevada!
