The Imminent Coming of Jesus?

How do we juggle loving His appearing and occupying until He comes?  We occupy by doing the will of God for our lives and allowing Him to guide us to our God-planned destinies.  Doing God’s will means hearing His voice and obeying the commandments He gives us daily.  Hearing His voice is as easy as practicing and focusing on one simple task:  Asking the Holy Spirit to help us police our thought lives 24/7.

The key is to ask the indwelling Holy Spirit to help clean up our thought lives because we cannot determine ourselves, whose thought it may be.  We have three sources for thoughts: Ourselves, God, and the carnal mind.  The carnal mind is just like an indwelling antichrist that speaks thoughts in our minds in our own voices!  In this way the carnal mind deceives us into thinking that we are thinking those thoughts.  Only the Holy Spirit can sort out and reveal to us where our thoughts come from.

We must love God, love ourselves, and love others.  How?  When we witness how the Holy Spirit cleans us up then we love God more.  When we learn who we are meant to be by noticing our thoughts, we love ourselves more.  And when we realize the struggle that is taking place within us, we love others more for knowing that they have the same battles.

If we forget to notice our thoughts, just start all over again, making sure to ask the Holy Spirit to help.  From my own experience, I can assure you that this practice culminates in God crucifying the carnal mind inside us.  The result is a clean thought life and easily hearing God’s voice.  From there, God will take care of us Himself, for eternity.
